newbie fur
« on: November 30, 2010, 21:06:34 »
hey all, Minokyoko (mino for short) here from the sheffield area.

ive been into furry/anthro artwork since 2000 and have only recently discovered my fursona (bout 3 month ago)

i'm currently saving up to go to confuzzled 2011, i've seen the videos on youtube and looks like loads of fun.

my only concern is it'll be my first convention ever, so don't really know what to expect, plus i'm currentlt building my first partial fursuit ever for next years con too.

Expect the unexpected, some local distortions in space/time owing to convention effects on temporal mechanics, fursuits, bemused reactions of the public, dancing, more fursuits, artwork, random meetings, long cat and well.... just attend and you'll experience the rest.

Oh and me, I will be there again.

Excellent! Don't forget to plan your journey in advance too. Directions are on the main Confuzzled website to the hotel, there are plenty of local buses to and from Manchester City and trains are not that bad either. Although I do prefer flying, it's a real treat and isn't that bad compared to the train.

Book your train tickets about 2 months in advance to get the best deals. As already stated its quite and easy trip form the station with bus, alternatively you never know who you might be friends with by then and who might be driving from near you anyway. There are certainly a good few driving from your neck of the woods.

Also welcome and I hope your first con is a good one.
I for one welcome our Muppet overloards.

Cars are good, but I prefer to let someonelse do the driving before and after a convention. Especially if you volunteer you can be doing a lot more activity.

well what a day, was going to be picking up a car today, but just before i left the house i got a phone call off the guy i was getting it off.

the street he lives on is still covered in snow/ice and this morning a bin lorry managed to hit his car and the one i was gonna buy.

so no car for me again, how come when ever i find a decent car at a good price, something happens that stops me getting it.

There are plenty more cars out there and I'm sure this one will be repaired soon enough. Or you could always ask them for a discount and do it yourself.

That is the part I find almost as expensive as some cars to get. Stupid cost!

I'm travelling from down in London so not likely to pass that way. I ecpect though when we get closer to the convention you will find a lot more people making plans.
