my first fursuit

got the fun task of stitching together the rest of the second handpaw tonite,that'll take a couple hour.

earlier i nearly bought a load more fur to turn this into a full suit, but decided against it as with just the head, feet and hands its hot enought to wear.

gonna pick up a couple rubber car mats tomorrow to use on the bases of my foot paws.

You learn intresting things while sowing.
I learned that I can pass a needle through the skin of my left index finger and not notice until I try to draw the threat through after it.

i've sewn myself to this a few times over the last couple weeks.

best one i did resulted in my having to scrap that fur due to there being a fair bit of blood on it.

but the blood stains show the sacrifice made to the suit!

got the ears cut out and stitched together, came out rather well.







lower jaws now attached, ready for furring.

cutting out and stitching those ears together by hand took the best part of 4 hours today,
i watched both bad boys/bad boys 2 while doing these,
and got throught 6 cans of fosters,
so more blood was sacrificed to the suit (stabbed myself 4 times with needle, in same finger)

If you don't mind, should you bring this to Confuzzled I'd like to get a look inside since photos can only show so much. I'd like to have a look over it and ask a bit more about the process.

i'm aiming to get the suit finished for confuzzled, just got to finish the eyes and lower section of the head.

the handpaws have gone to my friends to be sew up properly, i stitched them by hand but had a few gaps and missed stitches, so she's gonna run the sewing machine round them for me.

i've hit a bit of a bump with the head, mainly the eyes.
was thinking of trying these to see which is best,

follow-me eyes
anime/manga style
glazed

i'll get each made and try them in head, taking photos then compare to see which looks best/has best visibility.

got the handpaws back today, she's done another great job on sewing them.
got the pads to glue on later and add elastic round the opening.

the feet have taken a side for now while i get the hands and tail finished.

I have come to the realisation that it can be judged just how much I need sleep based on how willing I am to apply hot glue to something currently strapped in place over a significant area of bare skin.
I am really bonding with my suit.

finally got the tail finished, stitched to top up and added a couple elastic strap belt loops.

2 pads left to sew on the left handpaw.

and hopefully the glue will have set on the footpaws by tomorrow.

havent done much to the head apart from tidying up some seams and finish the lower jaw, cant do much else till some more fur arrives.

this will possibly be done by mid march, or at the latest mid april, but it will be done for confuzzled.

i hate this cheap 2-part epoxy glue.

stuck the left shoe to the car mat fine and dried in a day,
but will it stick the right one to the other mat,
will it hell as like.

i've been trying the last 3 days to get it to stick, with no luck.
I've got some other car mats to see if it'll stick to this before i resort to using staples and a hammer.
