Bought fursuit from USA and it's not arrived, advice/help needed

Hi
I have bought my first fursuit from the United States which cost me over £1100, I paid for it using paypal.

The supplier said it should arrive in about two weeks but almost three weeks have gone since it was to be dispatched and the supplier is not answering any of my emails.

It was to be sent by USPS but no tracking number was supplied.

The supplier/maker looks reputable from the website.

I really want the fursuit and look forward to receiving it.

Just wondered if anybody can give me any help or advice?

I won't post any details of the maker or fursuit on these boards but will send details by messages or email if requested.

I am going to phone the sorting office in the morning to see if they are holding the parcel.

SFW:
If an office was holding the parcel you should have gotten a card through the door. From the value of the item if it has been stopped by customs there will be a fee to pay as well as the import duty. This should all have been explained on the form.

You need to get in contact with the sender and get some sort of information on where they sent it and when. There should be a tracking number or at least proof of posting.

RizzoRattie:
There is a possibility that the parcel has been sent and is currently held in customs.  I hope that you have set some money aside to part for import.  A recent fursuit received cost in the region of £300 this end.

The seller should of course be in contact, especially when dealing with that kind of money.  If you paid for it via paypal or through a reputable website, consider disputing it if you do not hear anything back from the seller.  Alternatively, consider a polite but firm reminder that they have taken your money but as yet have failed to offer a tracking number for the item and that you are now concerned.  If this results in no response, then you need to consider a name and shame process until you get some results - there are plenty of live journal communities for this.

Of course, the above doesn’t provide you any solace in the fact that your money is gone and you still don’t have a suit but it might prompt the person into replying.  Feel free to page me if you want any further advice, although I will be out of the country for 2 weeks as from Sunday.

Kind Regards,

Rizzo

RizzoRattie I have sent you a message with details of the transaction.

SFW:
Did you pay for it all in one go or in stages as things went on? If so did you see any progress shots of the construction?
