I wonder if it's more along the lines of people who are choosing this as a first con are more likely to try and get into the forums and get to know people beforehand whereas people who've either attended the con before or who are veteran con-goers don't do forums as much because they know what to expect?

Hmmmm.... and Howdy!  Not my first con but my first extra-national con so there's firsts all around. :P

This shall be my second Furry Con and second time at Confuzzled (assuming I can get tickes for a flight) so Whooo!
Ridiculously over excited over an event still over 4 months away :P
Also HIIII!!!
Congradulations!
Hope you have a blast!
Can't wait to see you there
or anyone else at all for that matter :P
I have made my statement and I stand buy it, but I could be wrong!

most likely ... same for me ... CF2012 will also be my first con and I am also in this forum ... ;-)

This convention will be a first for me so I don't really know what to expect, I don't personally know any other furs.

My fursuit has only ever been tried on twice for a short length of time 10 minutes or so.

Oh good luck... I've never worn a fursuit for a variety of reasons, but chief among them has got to be the raw heat of having one on.  As for meeting other furs... you'd be hard pressed to find a more efficient way to do so then attending a con... :P

Hello, its always good to meet new furs.
This will be my 5th convention and my second time at confuzzled.

I have had alot of experience in my suit since I got it in July and can't stress how important it is to take regular breaks and to scope out the area you are going to suit in first so that you can work out where all the hazard and potential areas for interaction are before you put on the suit. Once you put that head on you really need to know where your going because it is unlikely you will have very good vision.  I for one can't see straight ahead. I see out of the tear ducts and the mouth of my fursuit head.

I am willing to help any new furries with whatever.

I am looking forward to this Con and the other two Cons I am going to this year: Scotiacon and Anthrocon.

And of course Scotland is a wonderful place to visit too and with the cooler climate makes suiting very nice up there.

This I can vouch for personally. The weather, as long as it doesn't precipitate, is ideal for fursuiting as it is cool but not too cold and can be sunny too but not hot.
