that venue being the forums, but thus far it seems everyone (and their brother) is bringing a fursuit to the con.

I'm going to feel so out of place.

Meet all these new people face to... eh... face, and at the end of the weekend I'll have no idea what any of them look like.

Silly I know.  I figure it's just the fact that fursuiters tend to have a surfeit of enthusiasm (not that it doesn't serve them well) and so they'll be the ones most likely to engage on a forum like this pre-con.

We always seem to have a high ratio of suiters not that its a bad thing. But there will certainly be loads of no suiters for you to meet and remember their faces.

Its currently showing as about 54% as registered as fursuiters.  Although they are registered as suiters, not everyone will bring one.  So dont worry, you are safe

At 54% of total registration... that's a tremendous turnout of suiters.  Good gawd I'll bet there's a water station at every junction.

Funny how different people work, I own a suit but unless I'm taking it I dont put myself down as a suiter.

you really need someone counting during the parade ... even if not all really come in suit it could give an impressive number in the end

Trouble is not every suiter will be in the parade either, if they are a dealer or a staff memeber they might be busy. Usually the number is close enough when looking at the number of suiters comming. Although not a perfect number generally suiters will bring their suits or not mark themselfs down as one.

Having a fursuit lounge where only people with fursuit badge can get in makes it already alot more accurate but still yeah it's tough.

But on the other hand not that important either

You will get a big badge that says "Different" on it to draw attention to those different from none suiters *smerks* or something XD

Ah, I see.
Yeah, I know about the EF fursuiter badge thing ( I'm set up for that ). Thanks for that - both CF and EF are 'new' cons for me, so it's a learning experience.

we just need to make sure that there are enough people who admire the fursuits in the parade. Otherwise it may be neccessary to swap: the non-suiters parade and the suiters gawk...
