Con Schedule

(1/1)

Kouta:
Hey there,
This will be my first fur con this year, I was just wondering when the events schedule is likely to be announced?
Just very excited for it ^w^

SFW:
What sort of events are you interested in? There's usually a wide selection of things to see and do.

Kouta:
Well.... I have no idea really ^^; this is my first con so I don't know what to expect

SouthPaw:
There are a couple of events aimed specifically at first timers (though they usually get "old hands" turning up for banter with the host):
[*]Your First Furry Convention - Generally held on Friday either just before or just after the Opening Ceremony. One of our grizzled members of staff (sadly we couldn't afford John Hurt) gives an overview of what to expect from the con and tips to make the most of it. Also expect an introduction or several to the rule of 6-2-1....
[*]Bar Meet for First Timers - Generally held on Saturday morning, and hosted by one of our Security volunteers, it's a chance to socialise with some of the other folks who've chosen to make ConFuzzled their first con.[/list]

As well as the newbie specific events, it's highly recommended to attend the Opening Ceremony (usually Friday afternoon) for an introduction to some of the crazy people that work their butts off to put together the convention, as well as changes that have occurred since the conbook went to print and other important notices. Then on Tuesday, we finish the con proper with a Closing Ceremony, which tends to include announcements like a preliminary amount of money raised for the Charity during the convention, next year's dates, and that sort of thing.

Another couple of social events that tend to take place on Friday evening are the Pub Quiz, the main aim of which is to try and beat the Staff Team, and Fur-e-oke...where you get to see a bunch of mostly drunk people make utter fools of themselves...and if you're really lucky, someone may actually be able to carry a tune.

The highlight of the convention for many is the Pawpet Show. This takes the form of a two act play performed by our talented cast...but with animal puppets. A scene from the 2012 production can be found here on Youtube.

For an idea of some of the other events that may take place, you can still find last year's scheduled here. (And no, you won't find 2016's by changing the 2015 to a 2016).
