Another new guy

I came across this site on WikiFur. I was looking to see if there were any local conventions I might be able to go to and came across this one in Manchester. Unfortunately, by the time I found out about it there was no way I could make it, so I joined the forum instead! =D

Since it was in Manchester I hoped that some of the furs on the site might be fairly close as far as towns and such go, since it would be quite nice to actually meet another furry instead of just talking over MSN every so often. I'm not expecting to meet anyone else from Rochdale here (that'd be too good =P). If that doesn't work, I'll just enjoy the forum.

As far as meeting other furries goes you can always go to the local furmeets, they are nowhere near like proper conventions but still fun and you get to meet lots of other furs and make new friends =^.^=

I usually go to the NF meets... when I have moneys for travel and food that is hehe.

I was curious if they're going to be held in Manchester all the time every year or if the venue will vary. If it's in Manchester next year though, I may be able to attend.

It is going to be in Manchester next year and almost definitely in the same place (YHA) again, as the staff there were brilliant. More details will be given on the 31st July (not long to wait) at www.confuzzled.org.uk .

One thing that is definite is the theme for next year, which will be victoriana

Very nice! I'll do my best to get down there next year.
I may even have a driving liscence by then, so that'll make things even easier.
Thinking about it, if I do have a car by then I'd be happy to help out and give anyone close by to me a ride down to the venue if possible. There's still a long time before that though.

My old school was put in the local news paper because of a Victorian day we did. I'm about twice as tall as I was back then, so the clothes I wore will probably be a bit on the tight side.
