Hrrrm well £80/pn/pp for a share in a double double is maybe a bit pricey for me i'm sure it'll sell out again but that is pretty 'spensives what alternative accomodation is there in the area?

Additionally I'm guessing if you don't have a residential ticket you wouldn't be able to go to any of the room parties (or run a room party if you so wished to do so?)

I tried the photoshoot twice and it was out the door with people waiting as I had other plans I wasn't able to wait around.

The location didn't help either the four upstairs rooms were really not well posted at all.

Oh yes.

Volunteering, I said I wanted to help and didn't hear anything back.

I turned up at the orientation meeting and wasn't given any advice.

I felt kinda bad as I wanted to help out and it probably would have made my friday a better day.

I didn't sponsor Confuzzled. In general, I think that early dealer den's access is unfair and stupid, and being an idealistic silly wolf, I can't support such a thing.

It's one of the few perks that most conventions I can think of give to those that sponsor and thus help make the convention happen.

It is up to you to decide if the extra money is worth the reduced time in queue for Registration and earlier Dealer's Den access.

It would be super awesome to let surronding business know that confuzzled is coming to town, the poor peebs up at the harvester had no idea what had hit them!

Some stuff for 2013?

Bowling/Laser tag outing - it's about 15/20 minute down the motorway but could be awesome.

Fursuit floor - Book those with fursuit into the air conditioned rooms first, helps with keeping suits clean and non-stinky.

Party Suite - MAAAAAAAN those suites were pretty awesome, top marks there.

Ponies - Will have to fix that there is a pony panel next year.

ConOps - You lost the phone charger?!  Dudes, not cool, it wasn't an emergancy but it did really stress me out getting that voice mail.

That's all I can think of, super convention all in all, really very much looking forward to 2013.

What day were you traveling on?

I was probably going to leave thursday morning very early from Glasgow from Kachi's flat, i will have super limited space but should be able to fit two people, it might be tight and a lil rough however.

I'd be coming back on the Monday as well and driving back up via Glasgow (then off to sunny aberdeen)

ive never seen a baby fur before...... perhaps cos im new to the fur fandom??
Are they realy hated n stuff?  i think its REALY cute.

There's a very small minority of people that really deserve the dreadful reputation that they have earned, unfortunately a large number of those people express themselves in terms of being a babyfur and this causes issues for the rest of the community by taring everyone with the same brush.

There will be a SIG (Special intrest group) party for babyfurs, mostly it'll be snuggling with plushies watching cartoons and chilling out in a party room the thing babyfurs don't tell mundanes, most of us are really boring and just want to sit and chillax.  There's a couple of people that will want to ruin it I'm sure by going over the top but the babyfur party room is going to provide a safe friendly enviroment for everyone there, we are going to toatlly respect the hotel room and make sure it's cleaner then it was when we got it and most importantly we are going to respect other congoers and not squick out anyone too hard.

I'm more then happy to answer any more questions you might have, perhaps doing so by PM might be best however.

It's mostly a matter of logistics, just now I have no money, after payday I will have money.

I should therefor order after payday, which is before registration closes.

Simples.

Thanks Rizzorat,

what would occur if nobody cancels and somehow all the other rooms (964 places I believe) completely sell out is it possible i'd be stuck without a room?

Perhaps then for next year as they are so limited a lottery for them could be held or something, i was really hoping to get one to host a private room party in.

Can I just say, the UKFur forums were used way too much to organise stuff outside the normal con program, there were spot events (...ponies) I didn't know about happening and missed becuase they were advertised on the UKFur forums and not here.

Yes it was, really, the convention itself I can't really speak of highly enough and really am looking forwards to next year.

ALMOST.

See there was one fairly major issue for me and my room share in room 120, apparently the worst room in the entire hotel with a single A4 sized window for ventilation, wonderful views of some portacabins, no phone signal and no wifi signal at all.

This made co-ordinating meeting with people a "challenge" to say the least.

So long story short, hotel sucked, con itself, amazing!
