Feedback / Re: What is it with the lack of chairs?
« on: May 31, 2014, 09:38:00 »
The funny thing is that when I went to the music jam and was looking for an improvised "drumkit", I opened a door and it was a storage room stacked with chairs! I have to agree with Cheetah, though I'm not in bad shape for someone of age 56, it was uncomfortable sitting on the floor at some events, given that we were all scrunched together so couldn't stretch my long legs out.

PS: I did find a great drumkit - a big rubbish bin :)

It's really a lot of fun, and I agree the host was great too. Hope it continues to be a CFZ event as we move on to our new hotel!

Yes it was small, but it also gave it a nice intimate feeling too. I also love the big dance floors like we had at EF last year, they each have their positive elements.

Feedback / Re: Headless Fursuiters...
« on: June 04, 2013, 22:27:10 »
I'd never do it unless I was suddenly taken seriously ill, which has fortunately never happened yet! When I do see someone strolling around in public places with their head off, I'm not "disturbed" or horrified etc. It's just one of those things I wouldn't want to do. Also, on a completely practical level, when I take my head off I look like such a complete wreck with smeared eye makeup and plastered with sweat, with deep crinkles embedded in my flesh from the close-fitting head, I wouldn't want to appear in public looking like that!

Maybe part of the "problem" of headless fursuiters is connected with the idea that we are all supposed to be obligatory public entertainers and portray a character in a certain sort of way. Not every fursuiter is there strictly to entertain others. It's certainly a bonus if somebody likes my suit and enjoys looking at me in it, and I can certainly be a spontaneous show-off as anyone who has seen me at the dances can attest to. Personally I'm there in my fursuit because I enjoy it so much and love being a part of the whole thing, looking like a critter I've imagined all my life, and presume everyone else has their own reasons.

Interesting topic!

Feedback / My only complaint about the dances...
« on: June 04, 2013, 21:34:54 »
...is that I had to leave too bloody early every night (around 12:45 am, waaah!) to take the last shuttle back to the overflow hotel  :D

My thanks to all the DJs, lights and sound people, and all the other crazy dancers for another unforgettable time! Can't wait till next year.

Feedback / Re: A mirror for the fursuiters
« on: June 04, 2013, 21:27:07 »
Yes it was a bit funny...every time I got into the suit I had to go into the nearby men's room - into which I barely fit when wearing the well-padded fursuit -  to use the mirror to see if everything was on properly, and to put on/take off my eye makeup (needed for the fursuit because the head uses my own eyes.) Otherwise the bigger fursuit lounge this year was better than the two small ones last year. Of course that's all going to be different in the new hotel, looking forward to it.

I'd happily contribute to a mirror fund.

Discussion / Fursuit lounge 2013 question
« on: April 07, 2013, 19:34:30 »
Hello,
Planning ahead a little bit, because I'm staying in the overflow hotel this year - just curious if the fursuit lounge will be in the same room (s) as 2012?

Discussion / Re: Fur-e-okie
« on: March 02, 2013, 12:15:02 »
When I've done it, I just asked the DJ before I went on if he had the song I wanted to do. I had another song or two in mind just in case he didn't have it, but unless it's really some obscure song they are almost sure to have it. I hope they do Fur-e-oke again this year, it's a highlight for me!  ;D

Room & Transport Sharing / Re: looking for roomies??
« on: February 27, 2013, 05:51:48 »
I need a roomie, I've got a double room with two beds, early arrival/late departure. Are you still looking?
I'm a fursuiter, only use the room for sleeping, changing, and occasional escape from the craziness.

Room & Transport Sharing / Need someone to share a room CFZ 13
« on: October 06, 2012, 08:13:48 »
I've registered and selected a room for two with two beds. So now looking for someone to share, or else the con will select someone randomly. That might be great, might not!

I'm a fursuiter so I prefer to share with another fursuiter, or at least someone who is used to fursuits (the sweaty smell, bits of fursuit all over the room, etc :) . I keep my suit in the room when I'm not wearing it.

I'll be 55 years old in 2013, originally from the USA but living in France for 20 years now.

Early riser (7, 8 AM) and get to bed around midnight - 2 AM after a few hours of fursuit dancing. I'd use the room only for sleeping, changing, and the occasional escape from the general craziness and noise.

Hope this works out!!!!

I've been trying to send you a message but it doesn't seem to be working. If you are still looking for a room mate, please email me: polarbears at aliceadsl.fr

And we'll talk about it!
