Hopefully they won't change that amazing breakfast.... that was SO worth getting up early for!

You will be pleased to know that I am working on arrangements with the hotel that, should we successfully manage to fill the entire place, breakfast opening hours will be extended to much later, meaning that people can get more of a lay in ;)

Regards,

Rizzo

Hi SFW,

nothing formal at this time.  As the material BBF produces is readily available to donwload from his media archive, there is little demand for it.

Off-Topic Furry Discussion / Re: my fursuit
« on: May 17, 2010, 17:53:26 »
To echo what Flint has already told you, fursuiting is not just about having a huge bank account.   I for one personally think that some people are able to 'buy' their popularity status by affording some of the top end fursuits out there, yet they are over shadowed by top performers that, as flint says, spend a fraction of the price on a suit.

The main aim is to have fun, but for me, its about entertaining the audience.  Getting dressed up in suit and over heating is worth it when I know I have reached the crowd.  Just standing around motionless is boring, and not really entertaining.   Therefore, you dont need to spend thousands on a fursuit to achieve that, its all about how you bring the character to life.

My suits have all ranged for as little as £100 to in excess of £1000 yet of all of them, the one that sticks out the most is Brum bunny.  It was so poorly constructed, when a friend of mine, and a very good performer, got a hold of it, he brought it to life for what it was..  and it worked so well!

Dont worry about letting people down, you dont owe anyone anything.  Just be sure to enjoy yourself.

Rizzo

Dealers Forum / Re: Den times.
« on: April 23, 2010, 23:44:16 »
Hiya.
Do we have to be clear on the sunday or can we leave bits in until the monday morning? Again, thinking of laser and storing it safe overnight.

At the close of the Den on Sunday, I believe Dealer's will be asked to clear up as we do not have use of that room on Monday. However, if you need to store any equipment securely, I'm happy to move it in to our store room overnight Sunday.

Just a correction to what Nido has advised you here.  We do actually have use of the room being used for the dealers den on the Monday, however I do not believe there is any official plans to use it - I believe perhaps for art pick up for items sold in the auction.  Therefore, what stuff can be stored in there etc.. or how the room can be used are questions best posed to Cosmo who is head of the dealers den.  Please email dealersdenandart@confuzzled.org.uk

Thanks :)

Hi DJ Pirtu,

could I suggest that you point your request regarding the dealers den set up to:  dealersdenandart@confuzzled.org.uk

I do believe that there are hooks for the display wall, but could not tell you confidently myself.  Cosmo will be more than happy to reply to your email.

Thanks,

Off-Topic Furry Discussion / Re: Am I too old to start fursuiting?
« on: April 17, 2010, 00:03:34 »
A simply answer for you..   you are as old as you feel!   Whilst the average age of attendee's to ConFuzzled might be in the age range of 18-26, there are many conventions, for example, in America where the age group spans a much wider range, some in their 60's and 70's.

There is no given age of when someone should or should not start fursuiting.   One of my friends daughter has a fursuit, she is eight.  At the same time, I have a friend in the US in his late 40's and he is an avid suiter, plus he makes his own.

Age doesnt make a fursuiter, but ability.  If you can bring a character to life, then you are never to old, or young, to be a suiter.

Welcome onboard on behalf of the ConFuzzled team.  I am sure you will enjoy the convention as there are lots of fun things lined up, and plenty of new faces and people to meet.

You should consider talking to Kyyanno regarding your petrol head interests.  He is holding an event for people with the same interests as you :)

Welcome btw to the forums
