Off-Topic Furry Discussion / Re: oh look we made news
« on: June 02, 2009, 00:58:45 »
That's pretty cool. Props to them for keeping the article itself non-bias. We can probably expect the media to be there in full force next year...

Regardless of said article media always follows fur cons but we have media relations people to give them some info and make sure they know they arent welcome at the con. Although we had more interest from the media last year than this year I bealive, we just arent the hot news anymore ;)

Article looked and read like crap too, and even by it's admission was a third hand account and a wikipedia quote. Not exactly journalism at its best.

Dealers Forum / Re: CF 2009 Dealers' den feedback
« on: June 02, 2009, 00:47:21 »
((from my general comments))

1) Dealers den opening.

Why is the opening so late in the afternoon, and the hours so short? I would be complaining too much, but I did get more commissions on this year and not much time to deal with them (I am still working on two now). I also had to say to people that I couldn't take colour picture commissions at the con due to the restricted time (I wasn't the only dealer making that restriction).

I wouldn't want something stupid early in the morning, but what's wrong with a 11am start like EF? I really don't want the feeling of stress on the Saturday evening again!

2) Artshow closing.

Only the artists at the show when it closed? Did the rest convention know that the show was closing at that hour? Also closing halfway though dinner was sucky, I think most of the convention was too busy trying to get something to eat at that hour. Disappointing if, like me, you had work in the show.

However the den was an improvement on last year better organised and run on the whole.

I thought that I registered for this way back along with the dealers den? Unless this got lost too. I couldn't place a tally on the amount of items that I had for sale back then since I had no idea on how many pictures I would have compleate and ready for sale at that time.

Errrmmm... just spotted this today. Looks like footage from RBW, the worst thing is I know most of those fursuits and thier owners.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgoAuqqTPHI

Don't know what to make of it, or even if this was a slated press event. Something tells me the RBW crew didn't know about this, if it was RBW.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Old drunkard getting dragged to Confuzzled

No, they actually went to Sainsburys, not tesco.

Ah I heard at the time it was the tescos that bore the brunt, guess I was wrong.

Now I'm seriously considering revising my bet as to how many times the bar staff will have to restock over the weekend.

Any advance on last year's total of three trips to the cash and carry?

Didn't last year the cash and carry sell out of booze because of us and the hostel staff had to go to the local Sainsburys?

Something like that but I think they just went to Tesco's first.

Artists Forum / Comissioners! Please contact me!

After bugging CF about some iffy organisation, i've now cocked up. Although I am putting it down to what I call "headless chicken syndrome".

I've got two people who've commissioned me at CF and I need to Urgently get in contact with two people who I am doing, or own commissions. This is really my silly fault to for not taking Email addy's, and only giving out mine.

If you where the lucky one that won the "flying the Flags" picture at the auction (I can't remmber you name off hand). You have a free full colour conbadge commission! Please contact me, as I am ready to do! and the sooner I can get it done the sooner I can get it to you for a future event like Eurofurence or RBW, or even the next fur meet if you wish!

Next Utah Varis, Your commission is nearly done and ready to post, all I need is another evening or two on the colouring and its done. However I need shipping info so I can get it to.
(contacted! The comission will be finshed soon!)

I have nice things to give to people as for gifts or things that they have asked for, and nobodys got back to me yet.

If you are the person in question (or know the person in question), then get in contact with me! I need details so I can send you, or get working on your stuff!

Everyone's contacted me now! Thanks!

And I think at that price I might source another hotel if I go, filled with furries or not.

I know that there are a few places that cost less than that in London.

I am gay and stuff, so if people no likey that take heed, but its just an ida, as I was talking to pepole who were going to rbw and thought it could be somehting good to bring up here.

It rocked Nuff said.

Glad you liked it :3

Also, judging from other posts I've seen you make, how was the dealers den? Did you sell well? I'm hoping to snag myself a table next year if the buisiness is good.

That's all good to hear :3

I'd hardly say I'm a new artist though. I not well known at all though XD

As for the work part, I understand :3 I'm not too fussed about missing out on events. Just like the whole dealing thing ((went in the artists' alley at FWA)) and I'll be happy just aslong as I have some time to muck about afterwards when the den closes :B

Well you've had more experience than me, I've only been doing art seriously for 5 weeks prior to the con.

I had fun doing it and I will be back next year to do some more, but there was no or little time for mucking about. I found the time restrictive, and I didn't stop on commissions untill 12 midnight on the sunday. If anything when it closed it was stight to dinner, or then back to pack up.

You know you love ConFuzzled when....

You create a Firefox plugin to register you for CFuzz automatically. :D

DO NOT WANT!!!

I couldn't get to EF this year due to all the furs with IRC on a IV drip feed, and/or a finger taped to the refresh key.

No real post convention depression this time. Just trying to catchup with my art now and think about what I need to do for next year.
