No. there will not be a published plan.

So it's gladiatorial combat then for the best pitch?

*grabs Derwent pencil set, rags and a pencil sharpener, and starts to fashion a makeshift knuckleduster*

Best way to tell is if your a fox, your gay :P It's a well known fact that all foxes are gay :P *giggles*

If I was gay then how come then that I had a girlfriend for over a year? and this was when I was still very much a fox character.

No, once you've emailed, that's it. :)

Would of been very nice to know if a place in the dealers den had been confirmed or not. I might not have much to take with me, but I could of been a big dealer, or artist, who needed to know if dragging a create of comics/art/prints/fur suit parts/clothing/toys and games/booze/"adult things" though customs was worth his or her time.

Finally is there going to be a published seating arrangement for the dealers den?

By Thornwolf, of my old Kitsune fursona.

By Myself of my new Sergal fursona, Sorvall. (Yes I know there is a mistake in the drawing, and yes I know the pencil is murdered by the scan)

I maybe offering conbadges like this at the convention.

I've been thinking about this hard for the past week or so, but I've now changed my registration to artist.

Is it too late to ask for a dealer den space? (I have pinged off a Email about it).

2008 Discussion / Re: Fursuiting at ConFuzzled

i guess if you cower up the lower parts it should be ok?

Well there is that, and yes I do believe if a costume has either real or fake genitals (I am not sidestepping here) showing, then I would think keeping them *well covered* would be OK. This is provided that the CF rules on such matters mirror those of Eurofurence.

That said the problem with PVC or any kind of full PVC suit for that matter. Is that it could be seen as BDSM or fetish wear (the same going for zentai costumes), which quite possibly under convention rules isn't allowed period. So regardless of whether its covered or not you still might wind up on the wrong side of convention security.

Before anyone asks. Yes I do know about the incident at EF13 involving a person involved with running another large UK furry event, and a rather over zealous smack down from con security over the wearing of a PVC fursuit.

at least i know, so he's not suitable, still once created there's still he's going to be useful
i'll wear him walking down the high street and go shopping, sounds like fun.

my number two fursuit is faux fur, that's who i'm taking this year along with
feera, he's the squirrel who is awenic he's much more suitable, and better

so PVC suits no good, If one covers PVC head with fur a balenced mixture fox
might work, i guess the main rule is to look cuddly  :), and one can't go wrong  :)

thank you very much for your time and kind feedback
yours in light
feera fox

What are you talking about? Some kind of skin tight squirrel suit?

I can think of why it isn't appreciated by some members of the convention, and possibly even less by the general public.

Questions and Answers / Re: Registration arrival question
« on: February 21, 2008, 22:47:05 »
Okay, this might be a little odd but i have to figure out how to deal with this if im so unlucky i will be in the situation.

Im going to examns with my last examn day friday the 20/6. If im super ultra unlucky i will have to attend to one or more examns that day. That would mean i maybe first could get on a plane later that day and first arrive at the convention on the evening.

How would that affect me (as i would arrive outside the check in opening hours). I still dont know my examns date. Would i still be able to check in or would my whole con be lost?

There are always late comers.

If its anything like EF you can register in at any time during the con, even at 2am on the Sanday if you have to. So don't worry if your late on the friday.

If the registration desk is closed find a staff member and they will check you in. There is no need to stick strictly to the stated time for registration.

PS. If you are flying and need to get to the con in a Hurry then it is really recomended that you directly go to Manchester Airport(Liverpool John Lennon next best pick if nothing else). Going to any London terminal will mean a extra 4 to 6 hours journey time by road or rail.

Introduce Yourself / Kitsune says hi!
« on: February 10, 2008, 01:00:48 »
Well I think I better say hi even though I've been on this list now for at least a month.

Well anyway I am Alexfox, I am 26 and from Cambridgeshire. I like computer gaming, keeping fit, furry art, writing, airsoft and some other stuff.

I used to work with animals for seven years until I changed to a different line of work in PAT testing and asset registry for the Biochemistry department of the University of Cambridge.

If anyone wants to ask my fursona is that of a two tailed red fox kitsune, and yeah I know that's not very interesting but hey I've never taken this thing seriously.

Anyway for those that haven't guessed I am at Confuzzled due to EF now becoming a club for those that spend all day plugged into IRC, so I decided to do both UK based conventions this year instead. At least I get to do a con every 6 months right?

Anyhow I am sure that a few people have met me at EF, London furs or at some other furry event anyway, I have been in fandom now for eight years or so this month.

See you all at the convention.

Staff And Contact info page:

email: artroom{at}confuzzled.org.uk and then you'll get details soon from Wolfie.

OK, I sent an Email out about 4 days ago. Has it got lost or is the guy in charge of the art show away? This is kind of taking a long time for an inquiry.

Questions and Answers / Re: Options to Attend, Round 2
« on: January 31, 2008, 23:55:58 »
What I'm failing to udnerstand here is why people in Manchester are so miffed at having to pay for a hotel in their own town. So what? You're getting to a furcon, there'll be huge ass room parties, everyone in one area, masses of things to do day and night, what use is a day pass if it runs 24 hours?

Would you go to the pub a few meters from your house, have a few drinks and then decided that it would be better to get a hotel room than walk a few feet home?

At one EF there was something called a attendance only registration. which only let you attend con events and show, exculded was accomerdation and food which made for a bulk of the registration fee anyway. Oh and you could still stay at the consite all night, just not sleep there, so you could attend a room party if one happend.

It would be a much cheaper option if you lived near by the con as you would save upto 50 to 75% of the registration fee, but sadly thats not going to happen.

Anyway I am sure that the fursuit parade will be free to attend if its outside, as well as the olympics thing. Also I am sure that there might be some furs heading out to town during the con too.

Just keep an eye on this board about an events or vists being aranged before, during or after the con.

The main difference between staying at my local pub after a night out and staying at the YHA for ConFuzzled is the vibe you get at a convention. It's all about the atmosphere of the event. The fact that people will sit about until stupid o'clock in the morning chatting, drinking and generally socialising. If someone was on a day ticket option, there'd have to be a kick-out time at some point, meaning they wouldn't get to sit around until stupid o'clock socialising.

For me, even missing eight hours a day (assuming a 1000h admittance, 0200h kick-out) is eight hours I could have been socialising (Sleep is for the weak! Caffeine works just as well  :P).

Anyway, this whole thing is a bit of a moot point. There isn't a day-pass option, so the whole debate about the pros and cons of one is a little pointless really.

If you read up you would have noticed that I was refuring to an attendance only registration, which lasted the duration of the convention, not a single day, and you weren't kicked out for socilising untill the wee small hours. It was done as a means of consite overflow on the cheap for EF 12.

As I said you had access to the events and shows, but not a bed or food that the convention laid on, that was something you had to sort out youself.

How the hell do I apply for a panel at the Confuzzled art show? I can't find any information about it on the website? What's there seems like a regurgitation of the dealers den information.
