« on: November 07, 2013, 22:31:23 »
After a slight delay while we sorted out a few things, Dealers' Den registration is now open. This year there are 87 tables available for dealers to reserve.

Before registering, please make sure you have read the  dealers' den terms and conditions on the website as you agree to them when you fill out the registration form.

If you have any questions about the den, please email dealersden@confuzzled.org.uk

Feedback / Re: Art Auction

I don't actually run the auction anymore, but I believe the current plan is to continue to censor the adult images in the live auction, yes. (Just to clarify for other people who might be wondering, we don't censor the silent auction, just the images that are shown on the projectors during the live auction)

We have censored the projected images since last year due to the number of complaints received in years when we haven't done so. It's also worth remembering that the hotel staff are also in the room, and they might not want to see it.

On another point, we did attempt a count back system back in 2011, and we received a large number of complaints from people who thought they'd won in the silent auction, only to then find the same pieces in the live auction.

Feedback / Re: The food

it would have been nice if they had both meat and veggie sausage for one.
They did. My deputy is a vegetarian and went and asked if they had a veggie alternative one evening and they went and made him some. They might not have had it there with them (more meat eaters than not, no point in preparing lots of veggie stuff in advance if you don't know you can sell it etc, etc) but his experience was that if he asked them for it they were more than happy to get it for him.

Feedback / Re: Artists Alley

Artist's alley is just a quiet room that's set aside for artists to go and sit and draw in peace. It's set away from the main event space so that it provides a truly quiet area, rather than having people rushing about, and possibly in and out constantly.

Hi guys,
If you were a dealer (not an assistant) at ConFuzzled 2013, please can you take the time to fill out this survey, to help us improve the Dealers' Den in future.

To be clear, this survey is for DEALERS ONLY. Any responses from non-dealers, as well as any duplicate responses, will be deleted from the results page and will not be taken into account.

The Dealers' Den question marks should, indeed, be icons. At the moment we're in the process of receiving them all, though :)

Good evening ladies and gents,
The Dealers' Den layout is now online here. Please take a moment to take a look at where all your favourite artists will be sat.

THE DEALERS' DEN IS NOW SOLD OUT, however if you you would like to share a table with someone you know, who's already registered as a dealer AND they agree, please email dealersden@confuzzled.org.uk with the following details:
  • Your name and badge number
  • Your trading name, if different from your registered nickname
  • What size table you would like
  • Whether you will be using electrical equipment
  • A description of the items you will be selling
  • Any additional requirements you may have
  • Assistants badge number (If applicable)
  • The existing dealer's badge number

You will also need to get the existing dealer to email us to confirm that they wish to share with you.
If you do share, it will be up to you and your table sharer to divide the price of the table between yourselves.

Please note: The conbook has now gone for print, so any new registrations (after Sunday 14th April) will not appear in it

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Note to dealers
« on: March 17, 2013, 16:47:50 »
Hi guys,

Just a quick note to say that, while you are welcome to change your name or business name at any point, please can you let the Dealers' Den team know if you do so by emailing dealers@confuzzled.org.uk . At this time of year we tend to get quite busy with arranging the layout and the electrical requirements and, as the reg system doesn't notify us of such changes, it can get quite confusing and can lead to mistakes being made when such details are changed. Thank you.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Dealers' Den tables running low
« on: March 09, 2013, 18:17:51 »
Hi all,
Just a quick note to let you all know that we now only have 5 tables left unbooked in the Dealers' Den. I you would like a table, you'll need to hurry.
If you haven't registered for the convention yet, then you can register for the den with your main registration.
If you have already registered for the convention, you can register a table by signing in to the registration system and clicking 'Dealers Den' in the menu on the right hand side.
Please note that, this year, your table will not be confirmed or held for you until you have paid for your convention registration.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Re: Dealers Den - length of trading?
« on: November 05, 2012, 12:54:16 »
Hi.
Unfortunately we don't sell tables for single days. It is something we've tried before but had very little interest in. However, you can share a table with someone, in much the same way as you share a room.
When filling out the dealer registration form there is a 'Sharing partner' field in which you just put the attendee number of the person you wish to share with. You will need to find someone willing to share with you, but once you do it's up to you and them how the table is shared, though if you do decide on a day each please let us know so that our Den map can reflect this.
