Discussion / Re: Still possible to buy CFz 2014 Iron-On patches?

I have one of these gathering dust. If you're still looking for one, ping me a little bit before the next con (@mutdoggipublic on Twitter) to remind me. Happy to part with it in exchange for a promise to drop some money in the charity tin.

Hello,

Awesome con! Both the venue and the con staff did a great job. Most of the suggestions I had were covered in the feedback session, but there are one or two other things:
  • Small thing, but could you add a note to the printed rules + conbook saying that credit cards are accepted for the art auction please? (This was announced at the start of the live bidding -- much appreciated -- and I realized later that the information was there on the website.)
  • The auction will be even bigger next year -- I'm sure you're already thinking of ways to speed the collection/payment after the art auction. From the outside I don't see any easy solutions, but perhaps some parts could run in parallel? For example, separating payment from pickup, or having a window on Sunday evening for items won at the silent auction to reduce the load. (Perhaps even during the live auction itself? Heresy, I know...)

Hi Colson,

A bit belatedly: there may be one or two people you know after all...

Hi there,

We've got this one in hand, we're just deciding which is the best space to allocate to this. This should be done in enough time to appear in the conbook.

Cool -- thank you!

Hello,

Just wanted to put this on the record: space for board/card/role-playing games is really appreciated. It's not exactly an event (well, except maybe pre-planned RPGs) but having a room with a few tables and chairs that people can occupy for the duration makes things much simpler, and if the location can be advertised in the conbook so much the better. This worked pretty well in the previous couple of cons -- the only snag I can think of is that the assigned space was very close to the dance floor and got pretty noisy at times.

(If I get organized I may run an RPG, but I daren't commit right now...)
