Discussion / Re: Possible themes for Next Year

I've never seen an "Haunted"-Theme at an Furry con

Eurofurence 14 - "From Dusk Till Dawn - The Horrorconvention"

Good memories of that con, despite the car accident on the way..

Hello Everyone,

This year we had an increase in the amount of lost and found items unclaimed into Convention Operations.

As such it will take us some time to take photographs of all of these items and bring them onto the website. Please note that any item/s you are claiming will require that you pay for shipping, I simply cannot afford to send out item's back to people for free I'm afraid, this shouldn't however be too high (a few pounds at most) and I can discuss with you alternative arrangements.

I intend to post images in the coming days so please check back soon.

Feedback / Re: A mirror for the fursuiters
« on: June 04, 2013, 17:47:27 »
As per the feedback session the mirrors were originally intended to be part of the fursuit department but due to budget issues these could not be purchased this year. We will certainly try to have them for next year to make the lounge better for all.

If I'm completely honest the well being of the suiter is more important than the magic - general speaking if you are overheating in suit then take your head off.

Hi Trax,

Shouldn't be a problem I'll be around from 12 tomorrow and in Convention Operations or around on radio.

Do check out the more local places within Hinckley itself, we've populated the local area information page with a Google map to show you available places to eat outside of the hotel.

I also know from first hand that the veggie options were rather nice last year and I've no doubt will continue to be this year.

Feedback / Re: Sponsor events
« on: May 24, 2013, 11:37:25 »
I think it was in 2010 or 2011 (not sure), but I remember that few people with Standard registration managed to sneak in Sponsor events (at least at the Sponsor buffet). I didn't react on the spot because security is not my job (and I was REALLY HUNGRY !), but it's better to talk about it before the convention starts.  ;)

Hi Vector,

We will have security posted throughout the convention spaces and we will be checking badges this year, however if you do see someone slip through who should not be at a sponsor event please tell a member of staff immediately rather than hold onto it, we cannot deal with issues like this after they have been and gone, more so with the length of time that has now passed.

I do however recall that a few of our crew level staff and volunteers were given access to the buffet as a thank you for helping so these may well have been the persons in question. This should be made much clearer this year with the introduction of new badges.

Thanks for the feedback, if you do have anything this year that you think is important for us to know and can attend it, please come along to our feedback session at the end of the convention or drop us a line after the con.

Yours,
Washu

The twitter section of the iPhone app has the bar for filtering etc located further down the screen rather than its intended location at the top of the screen. Prevents you reading the first tweet in the list which is a touch frustrating.

This was documented on an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4(10B350)

Jaeger,

If you haven't already might I suggest posting this up onto the UKFur forums, this might get some more attention that way.

Discussion / Re: about the age limit..
« on: April 24, 2013, 20:30:10 »
I'm afraid generally speaking because of the legal rules we as conventions must follow an attendee must be a legal adult over the age of 18.

I know its a little disappointing but don't give up come next you'll be able to go next year.

Off-Topic / Re: ATM somewhere?

On there, quite a few of the cash machines have already been highlighted.  However, the closest one appears to have been forgotten.  This is over the roundabout at the petrol station.  They have a hold in the wall there.

Glad I found this topic! Is it safe to walk there o.o? I won't have access to a car and don't fancy being run over D:!

Hi Neithie,

We would advise that it would be best to bring cash with you if you don't access to a car, however you can walk to the Cash Point in question however I would strongly advise doing this only during the day so to maximise your safety.

Hello Scuppet,

If you could pass me the ticket number for the ticket you raised, I can pass this onto the registration team for their attention.
