Discussion / Pet Passports???
« on: March 04, 2013, 21:15:47 »
Looking at this I see.... no vet check required, no health certificate needed... and no predictable behavior based on how many times do pets get surrounded by thousands of strange people who smell even funnier than your average crowd?

Fleas?

ALLERGIES?

Problems.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Howdy

Back again for the second year.  Last year was just too good not to return.  Figured I'd just keep up the old Howdy, nothing much has changed and I'm not fond of repeating myself.  See you there.

Not fond of 4 either... though I DO tend to like Pathfinder rather than the straight up 3.5... though of course we had to port in some of the unportables... Yuan-ti, Displacer Beasts, etc.

Noted... I will ensure that I am properly lubricated before attending your concert. :P

Somehow I have this image of you as Jeff Bridges from The Big Lebowski.

The Dude Abides.

Look forward to seeing both you and your work.

This is exactly the sort of information I needed.  Much appreciated.  I may wait for the coach or purchase a ticket for a later train depending on the differences in travel time (how much longer the coach takes) and the likelihood of there being a spot open on the coach (I imagine this is probably right in the middle of prime time for the service to be utilized and there are others who may not have as many options as I do) so we'll see, but if I do get a train ticket I'll be sure to purchase it at least a few days in advance.

What would they call it?  The ass-backwards parade?  Non-suiters in a parade?  That's ass-backward. :P

Do I need to purchase my ticket for a train from the airport at BHX to Leicester or can I walk up to the counter day of and be assured a seat?  It seems the schedule has trains running all day, but I'd rather not find out when I get there that they're routinely sold out or some other avoidable non-sense.

Since I really have no idea how long it'll take me to get through customs, I don't want to buy a train ticket early unless I have to.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?

I'll be arriving at somewhere around 0900 on the 25th.

Specially for you I'll make sure you'll at least know one face from one fursuiter.

This is my face : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4963937/ (I'm the guy)

And this is my fursuit : http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4636041/

Now you already know one of the guys under the fluff! =D

So I do, and thankee kindly! :P

At 54% of total registration... that's a tremendous turnout of suiters.  Good gawd I'll bet there's a water station at every junction. :P

that venue being the forums, but thus far it seems everyone (and their brother) is bringing a fursuit to the con.

I'm going to feel so out of place. :P

Meet all these new people face to... eh... face, and at the end of the weekend I'll have no idea what any of them look like.

Silly I know.  I figure it's just the fact that fursuiters tend to have a surfeit of enthusiasm (not that it doesn't serve them well) and so they'll be the ones most likely to engage on a forum like this pre-con.

I always found it richly ironic that a furry would bear an irrational hatred for a fetish within what is essentially already a fetish community.  There are quite enough rational hatreds out there without having to put up with the irrational ones as well.

We could use a language no one understands, like welsh. Or make up some kind of language something that sounds like a well known lanaguge but change it just a little bit, like American XD

No offence intented to Americans :P

Which kind of American?  Bostonian American, where they put the emPHAsis on the wrong sylLAble?  New Yorker American, which just sounds like the city smells?  Southern American, Ah do declah!  Or perhaps Western American, 'Course ever'un kin unnerstan wesern ifn' ye jes thin about it.  We could go into the FAR west for some Valley Flavor, like totally...

Or you could try combining all of the above for an unmitigated catastrophe.

You never know who you're gonna meet, or where, or when.  Just came back from midnight chow in a forward deployed location in SW Asia and as it happened there were three cheerleaders from the Tennessee Titans eatin' breakfast when I walked in.

Whodathunkit?
