Feedback / Re: Confuzzled 2015 Pros and Cons
« on: June 01, 2015, 13:12:30 »

Rubbish bins. I appreciate that the hotel doesn't want its nice shiny reception area and corridors populated with nasty rubbish bins, but honestly, I shouldn't have to walk from one end of the hotel to the other to dispose of rubbish at ConOps or in the Fursuit Lounge. Can we get a few at appropriate places - maybe outside the Dealers Den/Art Show/NightClub and ConOps ? Surely the hotel would agree that it's better to have rubbish in the bins than left on the floors and tables ?

We did have a bin outside the Den this year, though it was tucked in the corner where security stood so might have been difficult to spot and it did fill up pretty quickly (Having said that, it was kindly provided very last minute by the hotel). There was also a rubbish sack behind the convention table that we were quite happy to let other people use.

Next year we'll request a larger one, though it shouldn't be such a problem as the Den will be more central :)

Hi,
I'm just talking as someone who used the pool last year. Please don't take this as gospel, as I'm just working from memory.

I believe you can use the pool if you're not resident, as it's part of a separate health club. However, if you are not a resident, you will need to pay an entrance fee.

The final layout for this year's Dealers' Den can now be found here. Thanks to all the people who let me know about changes they needed, and apologies to any that I couldn't accommodate.

You can still make reductions to your table size, if you wish to make space for people on the waiting list, but any such changes will not be shown on the Dealers' Den map in the conbook

We are planning to provide power to every table this year, so don't worry if you've been put on a table that had no power last year :).

Also, we can now confirm that this year's single tables will be 4ft x 2ft each (approx. 1200mm x 600mm).

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Dealers' Den is full
« on: January 19, 2015, 22:08:22 »
Evening all,
Due to a higher than usual demand for tables, all tables in the Dealers' Den have now been reserved, despite the number of tables having been increased.

So what now?
If you would still like a table, you can still apply and we will place you on a waiting list in case any tables become available at a later date. Please also add your mobile phone number to the 'special requirements' section of the registration form. This will enable us to contact you, should a table become available during the convention.
You can also try and find an existing dealer who would be willing to share a table with you. If an existing dealer agrees to share with you, you will BOTH need to send an email to dealersden@confuzzled.org.uk to confirm the table share.

If you are already a confirmed dealer...
Think about the size of table you have booked and whether you could manage with a smaller table. The Dealers' Den flourishes most when it is more diverse and the more dealers in the room, the greater the attraction will be for other attendees to come and have a look.
If you would like to reduce the size of your table, please send us an email and we will sort this out for you, and you will get a bubbly feeling* from knowing that you have helped a fellow dealer to be able to show off their wares.

*size of bubbly feeling may vary from person to person

The Confirmed dealers page is now live on the website. To view it, just click here .

This year we are once again including links to dealer websites. If you have already registered and would like to include a link to your website, please email us at dealersden@confuzzled.org.uk. If you haven't already registered for a table, you can add your website to the 'special requirements' section of the dealer registration form.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Dealers' Den loading and unloading
« on: May 02, 2014, 14:57:49 »
As with last year, dealers will be able to unload their vehicles directly in to the Dealers' Den. However, there are a few more rules to follow this year that everyone needs to be aware of:
  • You must sign in to the den and collect your dealer badge before you take your vehicle to the loading area
  • The dealer badge will need to be shown to a member of CFz staff near the barriers to gain entry
  • Anybody who is working in the loading area (this includes dealers and anybody who is helping them) must wear a Hi-Viz vest or jacket at all times. There will be no exceptions to this rule. While there is a footpath, this is an active delivery area for the hotel which is regularly used by vans and lorries. We and the hotel do not want anybody to get injured. If you do not own a Hi-Viz jacket, the Den team may be able to lend you some, though numbers are extremely limited.
  • You must unload your vehicle in a timely manner.
  • Once your vehicle has been unloaded, it must be moved immediately. You will not be allowed to leave your vehicle in place while you set up. The yard is quite narrow and we can't allow it to get clogged up.
  • Similarly, if it starts to look like the yard is getting overcrowded, the convention retains the right to withdraw dealer access until the situation improves. Again, this is in the interests of everyone's safety.
  • If you make use of the service yard, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk. Neither ConFuzzled UK Ltd nor Hilton will accept any liability for loss or injury unless caused by our own negligence

The preliminary times for access are:
Friday 13:00 - 15:00 and 17:30 - 19:30
Sunday 17:30 - 19:00
No access will be permitted outside of these times. However, the Monarch Suite entrance at the front of the hotel provides direct access to the foyer outside the Dealers' Den.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Dealer table layout
« on: April 20, 2014, 00:35:12 »
The table layout has now gone live on the website. This is the final layout (except for the addition of any new dealers) and cannot be changed due to the conbook needing to go to print at the beginning of the coming week. The layout can be found on the existing confirmed dealers page, but is now in alphabetical order

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Dealers' Den reg closing date
« on: March 18, 2014, 21:31:05 »
Hi guys,
Dealers' Den registration will be closing on Monday 21st April at 10pm BST, the same time as residential registration. After this time, you will also be unable to make changes to existing registrations.

If you wanted a table but haven't yet registered, you need to hurry as we're starting to run low.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Confirmed dealers for 2014 [UPDATE]
« on: January 27, 2014, 16:07:08 »
Hi guys,
As we're getting closer to the convention, I thought you might like to see who's currently registered for the Dealers' Den. You can now see a polished version of the list here. This year the list includes links to each dealer's website.

If you are a dealer and your website isn't listed, this is because I haven't been able to track it down or it was an FA account and I haven't had your permission to use it. If you would like me to add a link to your site, just send an email to the Dealers' Den team including your website address and we'll get it added for you.
