Feedback / Re: Headless Fursuiters...
« on: June 04, 2013, 13:25:11 »
"The Magic" Is a term created by the Disney theme park corporation. Its to describe the atmosphere they provide for the guests and mainly the children paying to see their grand show of a park. They treat their entire property as a show, their employees are called Cast Members. They're so dedicated that Magic Kingdom has a labyrinth of underground tunnels so they can secretly transport characters across the park and not have them seen in unfitting themed zones all to preserve the Magic.
And that's what the cast members are 'Paid' to do.

We're not paid actors at a convention. We all go to enjoy and socialize with others who share our enthusiasm for animal costumes.

As I was in the overflow hotel we needed to rely on friends to hold onto our suits. Sunday I was stuck in MonsteRoo for over 6 hours cause I had so many events to attend and no way to get back into the room where my change of clothes were. Even resorted to eating with half my top off.
Half the time I am too exhausted to be bothered put that head back on.

But I'll be honest, the other half of the time I just don't care.
Every fursuiter is not suddenly the convention's entertainment.
In fact I've been to many conventions where I wish some people weren't 'performing' But because the convention policies were more accepting of what was a -costume- you'd fine blatant fetish attire just roaming the halls. I applaud Confuzzled for having their solid policy for keeping that out of the main floors.

As far as I see it, if that head isn't on, I'm just wearing some colorful furry clothes and would rather not be bothered on what I garments I choose.

Excellent! :D I am glad to know you got the fields working on Kiyo's video, what did you do to get it working?  :)
Tripods make that sort of jump cutting so effective too, no shaky camera! ^^

The video was able to open in Windows Video Maker and I re-saved it as a new file type.
Then Vegas Editor was able to open it. XP

Thank you everyone who participated and came out to be in the video!
Special thanks to Mikepaws and Kiyo for filming and assisting.
Sorry this took longer than expected. My editor wasn't accepting the file til I did a run around.

I checked the timetable and noticed the music video overlaps with the BannerBrawl for 15minutes. Since I'll be on stage I can't just leave before that, so I am pondering either to step back for the video or rush like maniac after to you after the BannerBrawl :S

I'm sure it will take 15 minutes for us to set everyone up. You should make it in just fine. :3

What is the Banner Brawl?

The catwalk idea sounds like fun, especially if there is a red carpet, get people to pretend to be screaming fans wanting autographs. ;)

Love to help out, hoping to rent out a video camera, as won't have my Kai Wulf's mega-cam to play with as I did at FWA.

Yeah screaming fans and paparazzi too will be great to fill in the setting!

I think we have someone else on the official camera which should just be on a tripod anyways.
We could possibly have a second angle though.

Maybe an up close spectator cam.

OR

An Up Close glamour cam! With viciously fabulous angles. The filmographer would have to get on the floor and get real dynamic poses.

then we can edit that in with the stationary camera footage.

I think to get the best organization possible we will have to hard schedule this as an official event.
I shall get with the programming to work that through.

I'll need help in deciding whats a good time during the day to do this.

Also! If you don't have a suit you can still help out!
Calling all Extras!
If you've got a camera you can help out by being our Paparazzi.
How better to make all the subjects feel like stars than with paparazzi surrounding them?

And ya know what? If you haven't got a camera you can still help out! You'll just need a marker and a piece of paper
You can be fans trying to get autographs from the suiters.

Alright so been thinking a bit more!

Mr. Fairlight says Deezleberries is offering to film this little project.

The Song will be "Do Your Thing" by Basement Jaxx (a personal favorite)
I Will need someone who can provide a portable stereo or boombox so we can hear it while we make the video.

I want this video to be about all you guys. Just Doing your own thing.
You don't have to impress me you just have to show energy and unique-ness. Be yourself! Be your own star!

I'm under the impression that there will be a red carpet at this convention. I want to treat this as a Catwalk for the video.
We'll film multiple takes of fursuiters doing their own dance by themselves in catwalk style. Meaning, show some sass, work it, and Walk it out.
So like 10-20 second takes will be needed.

We'll likely film it all on one night after main events for the day are over.

Whos on board?! :D

Discussion / Looking for a prop.
« on: February 14, 2012, 15:47:07 »
Mangusu here.
I have a slight dilemma.
One of the performances I'm set to make during the convention will require a few small props. Most of them I can gather up myself.

However one in particular I need a bit of help obtaining.

Does anyone out there have a Card Board Standee they could bring to the convention?
I would recommend one you aren't afraid may get a little bent. So don't offer your rare exclusive collector's Standees.

Just one would be fine, I really don't care who the image is of, just that its 'person' height.

I need one to interact with during the Sponsor's Only banquet event... thingy...
If you can provide one and you aren't a Sponsor, I'm sure I can talk to the staff you let you into the event. :3

I would be most grateful to anyone who can volunteer.

How does this sound for a song?

Do Your Thing - Basement Jaxx

???
Heres the song in case you aren't familiar.

I really like the upbeat feel to the song, and the message of 'being yourself and letting it out'

« on: October 10, 2011, 12:29:54 »
I believe it will be inevitable that I will run some sort of How to Dance workshop.

Mine would most likely cover as many ways and techniques to dancing as I can since I'm not really a believer in sticking to 'styles'
I prefer to blend moves at my own will and focus more on rhythm.

But theres plenty to go over.

Hey Hey! Calling all Furries!

Plans are coming more and more together for this music video.

I like to keep things simple but we want as many bodies as we can.

We want to stage this video like a Red Carpet Runway.
This is the song we're using. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXxHIUpxBSo
Mr. Mikepaws will be our camera man.

Got a fursuit? Great! We can feature you doing a few poses/moves in the video. Don't worry if you aren't sure if you've 'got the stuff' I'm here to direct and make it fun.
Got a camera? Cool! You can have you on the side as the paparazzi taking pictures of all the 'stars' on the runway.
Got a sketch book? Be an admiring fan and cheer for the fursuiters and ask for their autographs.

This event is scheduled into the convention so we all know when to meet up and where.
Lakeside Suite, 05/26, 11:30am-12:15pm

I hope as many people show up as possible. Tell your friends. I want this video to really capture the enthusiasm of your convention.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Helllloooooo UK!
« on: September 29, 2011, 00:10:09 »
You will certainly hear lots of English accents during yoru visit.

And chances are, none of them will sound anything like the ones you get in American TV and films!

I get to hear plenty each day at work. Its funny when you say 'Cheers' instead of Thank You.
