Discussion / Re: Smoking outside the hotel entrance

Yeah, I almost forgot about a sign. I saw a group of five or six people leaning on one whilst they were smoking. I was uncomfortable going outside in-suit because of it, really.

This is something that bothered me, too. It was said a few times that people weren't supposed to smoke at the doors, and I did see some people get re-directed to the shelter. I know it put quite a few people off going outside.

Well, I'll put myself down. I need some crowds to test my improving singing skills on :)

That's the kinda thing we're looking for! If you're sure you want to take part, could you send an e-mail to DamianTanuki@confuzzled.org.uk ? I'm gonna try and get a folder together to make things easy to keep track of. Any resources you might need, too.

If I could miraculously find a crew to get some heavy metal mastered, I'd love to. It sucks being a solo guitarist sometimes =(

Finding bands is hard, I know. I'd love to be able to get something together myself. Drummers are the main difficulty.

If you fancy playing a solo or something there might be a place for that. You're the only person to offer any kind of reply yet, though, which is a little disheartening.

I'm sure I can say without too much of an ego that we furries are a pretty creative bunch, and I'm hoping to get some people a little bit of exposure at the upcoming Confuzzled. We already have showcases for dancing talents, but not so much for other factors in musical ability or other forms of performance art!

So with that in mind, if you're a musician, singer, comedian, or even a magician, anything that you would like to show off that doesn't fall into an existing showcase, please get in touch with me at DamianTanuki@confuzzled.org.uk and give me a brief description of what it is you want to perform.

All I ask right now is that you commit to a rehearsal beforehand, and let me know in advance of the convention so that I have time to work out a running order.

If you have any friends you might think will be interested, let them know!

Off-Topic Furry Discussion / Re: Minoky suit ver.2

Not sure I actually saw it there. I'm looking into making a suit myself over the summer. Did you go to the thing that Deezl and Kraken did?

I didn't get any photos myself because of the suiting thing. Kinda dissapointed that I hardly turned up in any of the photos I've seen before.

Feedback / Re: Awesome con was AWESOME

The rooms certainly left a lot to be desired, but that didn't really bother me too much since I was only ever in there to sleep and shower after suiting. One thing that bothered me was how hard the pillows were that I'd been given. Took 3 coffees to get me going properly on Saturday morning.

Adorable is good =3
It's always nice not to have to explain the many differences between tanukis and raccoons.

My old school was put in the local news paper because of a Victorian day we did. I'm about twice as tall as I was back then, so the clothes I wore will probably be a bit on the tight side.

Very nice! I'll do my best to get down there next year.
I may even have a driving liscence by then, so that'll make things even easier.
Thinking about it, if I do have a car by then I'd be happy to help out and give anyone close by to me a ride down to the venue if possible. There's still a long time before that though.
Thanks for being so helpful anyway =3

Off-Topic Non Furry Discussion / Stop Uwe Boll?

I dunno whether anyone here is a fan of his films, but anyways, there's a petition to sign with the overall goal of making him stop making awful video game based movies. The goal to reach is 1 million signatures, and it reached a quarter of that in the first month. If anyone's interested in signing who hasn't heard about it already, here's the link.

Whenever computer trouble strikes me, eBay's pretty much always the first place I look. Then I get put off by the fact that the prices are still quite high despite it being used and put up with my 9 year old technology.

On the plus side, at least slow computers have enough RAM to play Doom. That's all anybody needs in the grand scheme of things.

I was curious if they're going to be held in Manchester all the time every year or if the venue will vary. If it's in Manchester next year though, I may be able to attend.
