Title: Fursuit Conbadge registration open!
Post by: Rallicat on April 24, 2013, 09:14:04
As you know, everyone who attends the convention will get a conbadge to help identify you to others and lets you proudly show you're a fully paid up attendee!  You can customise your badge by logging into the registration system and uploading your own picture on the main dashboard!

Want a badge for your fursuit too?  Read on!

A fursuit badge can be a great way to help others figure out 'it was you!' when they  meet you out of suit!  It can also be a fun extra badge to keep your fursuits 'identity' on display whenever you feel like it!  You don't have to have one, and you don't need one to wear a fursuit at ConFuzzled, it's just a fun extra!

Every fursuiter can receive one FREE fursuit badge!  To apply, just follow this link: https://reg.confuzzled.org.uk/fursuit-badges/upload.php

You can apply for additional badges at £2 each (Cash-on-collection).  Keep in mind the image you upload for the badge must be of your fursuit, must be PG-13, and must be no larger than 4MB (all images will be resized to fit 300x300).

Also, make sure you double-check the image in the preview after uploading, we will be printing the cards in one session, and if there is a problem we won't be able to contact you to resolve the issue.

To collect your badge, be sure to pick it up when you register at the convention!

Finally. Remember that a fursuit badge is not an alternative to wearing your conbadge - be sure to wear your conbadge when suiting at the convention!

A photograph or artwork depicting the fursuit, both acceptable yes?

Hi Aurora,

priority will be given to actual fursuit photos over artwork as the idea of the badge is to help people identify who is in the suit.

Hope this answers your question for you :)

Kind Regards,

OK then It's a mugshot of my fursuit uploaded for the fursuit badge.

I assume the previous uploads will be disregarded with only the most recent image used.

I'm not totally sure how to interpret 'priority will be given to actual fursuit photos over artwork'
Rather than a photo of the suit I'd like to use the same image I used for my actual Confuzzled badge which wasn't a photo. Will that be acceptable?

Also would it be permissible to pay the 2 pounds for a second badge to be given to someone else that wont be able to make the con this year? (so they have have their little piece of it anyway)

By priority, what is meant is that we have a limited budget for doing X amount of free badges.  Ergo, given that this is the 'fursuit badge', the soul purpose of it being to help people identify the suit and the wearer, photos of the wearers fursuit will be given the priority.  If we do not fill all the free spots, we will then start printing on a first come, first served basis, artwork that users have uploaded however, given that we have over 400 fursuiters registered, we expect a relatively high uptake on this service.

If the image you used on your confuzzled badge is a photo, and its a photo of a fursuit, then by all means that drops right into the 'priority' queue.  To answer your other question, by all means you can upload an image for another user and pay the £2, that is entirely up to you.  When you submit, the upload is marked against your registration so we know what badge belongs to whom :)

Hope this answers your questions.

Many thanks,

Rizzo
