Feedback / Screening Room

I think the screening room would be a lot more popular if the rows of metal chairs were replaced with something compatible with relaxing.  Arabian cushions or Japanese floor pillows?  Bean-bag chairs?  A table or two for drinks?  Maybe it's better to move the screen to an area where everyone already lounges?

Feedback / The Queues ￢_￢

It was a big surprise to see how early people needed to queue for stage events, and how long some of those were, especially Pawpets.  The Hinkley staff were great at bringing around drinks and snacks, but I think (especially for newcomers) the 45-60 minute+ queues were a bit much.

I really hope the queues can be improved at the new venue, especially as the con gets bigger.  Early seating? Sponsor seating? It would also be helpful to set some expectations in the conbook and adjust the schedule leading up to big events.

Just wait till you nee the Nightclub next year *muahaha*

I get to bring the complete sound system, not just the old tops and half the bass bins

This was my first CF and I was surprised how small the nightclub was, but it was setup great for its size.  I'd love to see it larger next year (like the main stage) so everyone can be there.

Vegan here, sounds like a good idea!  Leicester has some nice options.  I'll be at the con with Toonie, also vegan, and we have  car.  Bringing some snacks to share also. :3

Oh yes I'll be there. :3  I haven't been to CF before but I've heard good things! Will this be your first con?  It's really good to get to know some furs beforehand and checkout the schedule from past years to get an idea.  Each con is different but I always look forward to meeting and chatting with friends, admiring furries, the events, getting art commissions and partying. :3

Welcome RayneWolf!  I've never built a fursuit but it seems like a challenge.  At least you have lots of time between now and CF.   It would be neat to see how it progresses.  Hopefully Lev's tips will help with the room situation.  :3

Hi again and welcome! There's lots of time between now and CF, so you might get to know some furs better.  Most are pretty friendly and remember what their first con was like.  So I wouldn't worry at all.  :3

Hi there.  I wouldn't worry yet as it took a couple of days for my partner.  How did you send the payment?  I think Tungro and the registration system might just be really overworked right now.  But I would email "registration@confuzzled.org.uk" before trying to send payment a second time.

Hi Neithie!

Happy to meet a fellow vegan, and I'm sure there will be more of us there.  Vegan is even an option at registration, though I'm not sure what it's used for.  Since I'm near the venue I'll be bringing a bunch of vegan goodies to share, probably even sandwich ingredients.  There are lots of options in Leicester too, so no worries! 

As far as rooms go, consider how much time you'll actually spend in your own room versus activities and other hang outs.  You can for sure still get a bed to yourself and room with a maximum of 1 other person most likely.   And you get to choose who you room share with, so see if anyone you know is going.   Or maybe consider an Inn nearby?
