Discussion / Re: Registering Multiple Fursuits
« on: May 03, 2014, 11:43:18 »
I'm not sure what the policy is for multiple fursuits, but I figured I would look into what might be happening about it.

At the moment, I am currently waiting for new fursuit to be made and I am worried it might not be ready in time for the convention. I do, however, have a back up, just in case, a fursuit my friend says he's happy to let me use. My main concern is, will I have to register this one as well for a fursuit badge?
You don't register fursuits - you only register yourself once which you already did when you selected your attendance type, room type etc. - you can bring as many (or as few) fursuits as you like  8)

The fursuit badges are entirely optional and are just a little nifty idea so people can recognise the owner of a particular suit when they're not wearing it - it's not a requirement that you have one for each suit. They're now closed for submitting fursuit badges (the deadline was April 30th if I recall correctly).

The only badge that you must wear whilst at the convention is your official conbadge, which you'll be given when you turn up.

bar meet provides a perfect opportunity to talk about what you just heard/learned. :3

Can confirm there will be a test about what you learned so make sure to take notes!

Im giving a test now?

Apparently =D
Better make sure you know the answers ;)

Hi there! My friend is looking to come to confuzzled, how much are you asking for the standard days residential plus? :)
Sadly I won't be able to attend this year.
I'm therefore selling my ticket for 255GBP/310€.
;)

I am still wondering when they are going to put something on about the dance contest
If you mean registering for it, registration has been open a while - see https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?usp=drive_web&formkey=dGZ1ZWVZNExnQWoyUEJOaUJBM015bkE6MQ#gid=0

If you mean as to when the competition will actually take place, that's a different matter :)

You're pulling extra shifts for bad jokes like that :P

Welcome to the forum :)

Just to reiterate what's already been said, no, you don't need a full suit or a partial suit to come and enjoy yourself. Studies have shown that only around 15-20% of furs have a fursuit anyway, so not having one is actually more usual :)

So, just pack as if for a normal holiday... just expect a lot more fluff :D

Hope to see you there if you make it :)

Thanks for that somewhat depressingly long list of things wrong with the transport infrastructure  :o

The UK is apparently broken  ???

Discussion / Re: What time is check-in/out?
« on: March 03, 2014, 20:09:31 »
Sorry lol
What I meant was I go home each day of the convention as I live locally. I was wondering what times do I need to arrive and leave the venue. :)

Ahh :)

The last part is easy enough - basically, you're supposed to leave the hotel within half an hour of the last officially scheduled event of the day finishing - for most days, this is usually the nightclub closing.

As for when you can arrive - well, I'm not sure we've ever enforced a "you can't arrive before x" rule, though if security spots a non-resident in the hotel at 5am who says they were just "arriving early", there will be questions asked !  8)

I'm a none residential member, do these times apply for every day? :)

These times are for checking into and out of your room at the Hilton - for non-residential members, you'll need to check the check-in/out times of whatever hotel you're staying at.  I'm confused by what you mean by "every day" though - you only check in once when you arrive on the first day at your hotel, and check out once when you leave the hotel at the end of your stay.

If you're referring to what times registration for the convention will be open, I don't think they've been announced yet.

It would be interesting to know what times the rooms are ready if attending the day before as wouldn't want to be hanging around until my room is available?

Check-in time the day before will presumably be exactly the same as any other day - i.e. 3pm.

Note - these are purely my own views and not an official statement :)

You should be fine - I think trains have been classed as time machines for many years now, as they follow their own internal schedule for when (or if) they arrive or depart which bears no resemblance to anything given in any timetable or station announcement  ;)

Off-Topic / Re: Why not confuzzled.org ?
« on: January 30, 2014, 17:31:10 »
Thanks SouthPaw, I assumed there must be a reasonable explanation :)

It's just that after going round a load of websites and getting used to typing .com or .org for conventions, it stands out like the proverbial sore thumb when ConFuzzled requires you to add .uk on the end ::)
