So guys what do you think of meeting up at the Gordano services just outside Bristol? gives us a chance to stretch our legs for those of us who are traveling from farther south and those of you joining us for the drive from Bristol to catch up.
We will prob wait at the services for about 15 to 30 mins, for those of you confirmed/def joining us i can give you my number soo that if your gunna be late/decide half way up you dun wanna drive at the 60mph i will have to lol then u can let us know.
i need to know what times are good for people to meet up.... were planning on leaveing exeter at 9am so should be at the services for about 10am.

10am at the services sounds good to me and my hound, we gonna be running up with PMR radios in use mate?

There are a lot of different brands, types, shapes and colours available - have a poke around Amazon, Ebay and the internet in general (or Maplin if you're feeling rich !).
Basically, you need to find radios labelled "PMR446".
This isn't a brand, but a technical specification. "PMR" just means "Personal Mobile Radio" - the important bit is the "446" as this refers to the frequency used - in this case, the 446 MHz band which has been left unlicensed for short-distance personal radio communication in most of Europe - so you don't need a license to use them and you don't have to pay any fees. As this frequency has been left clear across Europe, you could also use them on the Furball run to EF if you ever did that.
Even the cheap radios can access multiple channels within this band - all you need to do is decide which channel you want to use for your trip and make sure everyone knows it in advance :)
The range isn't massive and depends on the terrain, but you can usually get up to a couple of miles out of them which is all you should need.
Hope that helps :)

I hope so....... i will get some others (if i can borrow em) as spares just in-case those dont work
-
Aye, I just have to program in the channel frequency on my unit and we should be ok. How many have we got for this convoy thus far?
-
me in my go kart, spidox in his car and you in yours.
There will be three in my car and 4 in spidox's so a good few people lol....
there was another few on this thread who showed interest but they haven't replied since so im guessing there not joining us......
As ive said before if u guys dun wanna travel at the 60 or so my car needs to go then your free to shoot off...... you and spidox can do 80 or so that way lol.... well till you hit the cameras.
