Feedback / Re: Art Auction
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:03:00 »
I agree with many of the points Jess has brought up here! it seemed there were a lot of people saying to dealers "I would have bought from you but I wasnt sure if I had won X at the auction." - maybe have the auction a day before the den closes (or if possible have the den open an extra day afterwards, or even a half day?)

Also agreeing on the 100% to charity items - there were a lot of 5% donation items at live auction which had reached the 10bids needed but also items in silent bidding that were 100% with no bids.Even if the pieces sold for a small amount it would still be almost an equal donation for some of these high selling 5% items (eg: a piece sold at £300 with a 5% donation is a £15 donation, not hard to reach at live auction!). Obviously I understand if there are a high volume of these items it can be hard to include them all due to time constraints but maybe if some more could be selected next year? Also I want to point out with this I'm not griping about people only giving the min % - artists have to eat after all and a donation is still a donation.

There was also an issue with the bid closing this year - con veterans will know that the standard proceedure is going panel to panel and closing off during last hour. A lot of people were unaware of this and the wording in the conbook caused confusion as it did not specify that this would happen. This lead to a lot of anger and frustration with some congoers - in future PLEASE have better wording in the book and more visible signage about this!!

Feedback / Re: 2013 Shirt design
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:40:00 »
I personally liked the shirt - I thought it was a lovely design. Also there are a lot of attendees who do not like showing their furriness as openly as others, such as if they want to wear it to work on a casual day. There are also a growing number of mature furries (30+) who do not actually LIKE shirts with big toony characters on them.

I like both kinds of shirt don't get me wrong, but I personally feel that this years shirt is my favorite so far and it's one I would be happy to wear outside of the con. Props to the artist who did the work and hope to see as nice a shirt next year!

Obviously I'd try and keep my head on if I was in a public place with kids running around and such,
But for a closed con like ConFuzzled, I'm not really fussed

A hundred times THIS. We ALL know there are people in the costumes. Its not like we'e crushing the dreams of small children by taking off a head. There are dozens of reasons heads get removed - some heads have huge ornate horns which are HEAVY and can cause a lot of neck pain, some have electronics which may not be working, some may have poor ventilation or the suiter may be overheating, dehydrating, they have have hair in their eyes or their sweatband may have slipped down. There are literally TOO MANY REASONS to list for this.

Prototype for the bobblehead design - this is the bunny design! Still needs some tweaking therefore these are not available for preorder yet.

Body has gone through the smoothing process, head is fresh off the printer so requires some cleaning still. 3D printed out of ABS plastic, measures approx 15cm from base to top of ears.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Looking for BARDWOLPH
« on: May 31, 2012, 16:46:58 »
You commissioned me for an ACEO  in the dealers den, I believe it was on Sunday? I was the woman sat by the laser and 3d printer guys :) You bought an aceo holder from me as well I believe. I was quite unwell so asked for your FA details - the details I have do not work for you so I cannot get your references. If you see this please can you contact me either through here or on FA with suitable references for your picture!

In regards to the auction I was one of those with a lot of items in with 0% on them - I honestly wasnt expecting them to go to auction and they all had rather low starting bids placed on them in the art show to reflect this. I did however, have one piece in that was 100% to the charity which sadly did  not make it to auction. Had I been up to my usual shouting and flailing like I usually am at the auction I would have added a percentage during bidding on my items, however a combination of being rather unwell and exhaustion made me leave early and not be up for being in the room. Next year I am planning on all my items having a percentage going as I did personally feel very rotten about the whole thing after seeing how much of mine went to auction :(

I do feel it may be an idea to possibly implement a minimum percentage to be put to the charity should the item go to auction (so it could be at 0% in art show but if it goes in auction artist agrees 5% to charity as an example) or as someone has suggested a "reserve" artists can place so once it hits a certain goal the percentage goes up (such as if it starts at £50 with 5% then it hits £100 the artist could say prior to put it up to 10%).

Feedback / Re: Photoshoot feedback

I was lucky enough to show up when there was no queuing at all (I was the blue vixen on the morning of the suit parade)  and the setup in the shoot was very nicely done. The "instant" system was wonderful where you could see a preview of the photos and it was great you had example poses in there as well as a water cooler and an aircon system :)

Off-Topic / Is this Brok or a long lost cousin?
« on: August 29, 2011, 00:04:30 »
I wasn't at EF2011 but I just found this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6396669/

Is this Brok? Or just someone showing an uncanny resemblance?
