Discussion / Re: Smoking outside the entrance
« on: May 28, 2015, 19:54:38 »
How about a huge room filled with everything a smoker needs to relax away from all other guests? or the library, kings suite or the monarch area? but no you cannot smoke inside, but you can suit ANYWHERE in the hotel.

Can people stop moaning about the one place that we can smoke compared to the entire hotel area we can't

We have tested the marquee idea in the form of an open gazebo which failed miserably last year due to the weather and was not sufficient enough to cover all the smokers at any one time and keep them warm (which the two sides of the entrances does a bit better)

I understand people don't like the smell of smoke, but we don't force you into that area, you are free to move about the entire hotel area as you wish, but we cant do this.

my two ideas on this
1) stop moaning and move yourself to another part of the con space/hotel area
2) actually get a marquee like they was building on the last day of the con (not that big) but enough to cover two parking spaces with chairs in there for us to sit down with sides on as well to stop the wind/rain getting to us.

Just remember the con has an area for suiters, drinkers, dancers, gamer's ect but no one will take into account the smokers im sure if you put a poll out about who smokes during the con you will find there will be a large number of people who do.

By the way, this is MY view/opinion as a smoker

Okay, is there an email I can use?

Also, how should I mark the games as mine? I've registered my console with Immobilise.

I'm sure shortly there will be a member of staff who will see this post and reply to you or point you in the right direction

As for marking the games i usually put a label or something on the cover of the box and also i use the new smart water pens that are hard to wash off to write on the controllers, consoles and games and anything else that can be removed/taken away, but these can be expensive, to tackle this go to a pound shop and find a pack of UV pens with a UV light, if there is non look for a girls diary or such as they always seem to have these in stock and they come with these pens too.

But to be honest the games room always looks after your items and i have not known anything to go missing

Let's see what I've got to lend;

PS3:
Playstation All Stars Battle Royale
Ratchet and Clank All 4 One
Little Big Planet 2
Little Big Planet Karting
Sonic 2006
Sonic Heroes

Wii U:
Rabbid's Land
Injustice
Marvel Avengers - Battle for Earth
Nintendo Land
Rayman Origins
Just Dance 4
Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Pokepark 2
Wii Ware - Pokemon Rumble U

Any takers?

Hey, if you can bring all that cool, but im sure closer to the time it will be announced about the games room, but what you do is take your stuff to the games room, check with a member of staff what items your handing over and then it gets set up in a room for anyone and everyone to use.

Im bringing a one console and loads of games aswell.

Welcome aboard the forums, aren't cuddles and hugs pretty similar? :P Take a welcome cookie from the table on your right.

No, a hug is something that last like 10 secs-ish, a cuddle can last ages even hours ;)

*takes cookie ^.^ *

Introduce Yourself / Ginger Coon Waves Hello From Brummie Land
« on: October 07, 2011, 18:51:58 »
Hi all,
Guess i should start making freinds (which is usualy easy as im probably the most welcoming person you will ever meet) although at times i can be shy, but usualy only at fur meets which is rather strange o.o which is why i say hello today.
I am 21, Tall, Broad, Ginger (obv), LOVE music, games, computers, movies, port XD
i have been a fur for about 4 years now, ever since a close friend showed me some pics of conventions he has been too and it took my fancy,
i am an advanced computer user, I am always available for a good chat ect unless i am at work, to which you can leave a message with me and i will reply on my return,
i live in the birmingham area as most would probably guess by the title, love going out, but i can still have a good time at home on the sofa with a drink and a movie,
i LOVE cuddles and hugs :3

Yeah a bit of a random ending but if you wanna say hi, just say Hi :)
