Feedback / Re: 2013 Shirt design
« on: June 09, 2013, 19:43:36 »
Held a BBQ yesterday with three attending wearing their CFz 2013 shirts - when you're outside of the surreal atmosphere of a con (with 6' tall wolves running around behind bright pink rabbits and neon 'roos) they have a nice appeal :)

But it is indeed a very curious design! Personally, though, I like it! :) I don't really wear con shirts much anyway (I'm one of those sad sods that keep them generally un-faded and nice for special occassions) but this design did make me smile :)

Feedback / Re: The food

I found the BBQ was fabulous - great nosh and wonderful staff. I was one of the unfortunate that bought a meal ticket for the buffet during the time where there was no real food available.. However! I seemed to pick just right when going back another time for a wonderful Thai Green Curry <3

All these learning experiences should help with bolstering all the fun things ahead at the new hotel n.n

Feedback / Re: Fursuit Lounge

I remember one con (can't recall which) that had a series of office partitions lined up to make you twist n turn to get into the main part of the headless lounge. Yet another idea to pop into the melting pot n.n

Personally, I think if we crank the head dryer up to 11, it'll take off! o.o

Welcome to the madness! :D

And it's never too late to try putting your creative skills to the test - no matter how non-existent you may think they are, practice can help with a lot of things! :D

Discussion / Re: Age Limit?
« on: August 14, 2012, 21:14:06 »
Some advice...
  • Like SFW says, go to some local(ish) meets and get a feel for the community on a smaller scale
  • Go with someone you know in person first! Meets aren't dangerous, really, but it's best to go with someone you already know in person - if something should happen to you, there's someone there who knows you, and also there's added comfort in that fact for your own wellbeing
  • Check local forums - various meets have various forums that give you a chance to meet/greet on there or find out more about a meet before you go. It all adds up!

And above all else, even if your first meeting goes a bit sourly, don't be disheartened! I had a bad first one myself, now I've attended 4 international conventions and 3 UK ones :)

When you do reach the min. age for attending, I hope you enjoy your first Confuzzled!  :)

Announcements (CF2008-CF2011) / Re: ConFuzzled 2011 Charity
« on: March 17, 2011, 23:21:45 »
Good choice on the charity! I hope the fundraising goes well, after seeing the response at US conventions I hope for the same outcome over here at my first UK con :D

I'm going to have to see about donating a little extra methinks, lest I be taken out back and beaten by Tungro :-p

I like the courses idea :)

And Blue's also for the course idea! :) Just popping that here as he's not registered here, and it keeps all your responses in the same spot :D
