Title: Fursuit maker suggestions
Post by: SFW on May 25, 2010, 01:04:02
Hi everyone, I'm looking a lot more seriously into getting a proper fursuit for next year. Since my craftings skills are completely nonexistant I think I will let someonelse do the making part. But this leads onto a point, the one suit maker I had picked as a possible for their quality/recommendation is not taking on suits at the moment and didn't want to do another canine one either.

So.... has anybody got any suggestions?

You need to really know what kind of suit you want first more real or more mascot/toony? Do you mind long waits or do you need it ASAP. All these really make a difference in the options avalible, although a fair wait is usually the case unfortuantly

Good points! I'm after a more realistic looking suit and don't really think I'll have a need for it before next Confuzzled at the earliest hence why I've started looking properly now instead of later.

I would consider a toony suit if the price was significantly lower to tempt me along that route.

Well usually toony suits arent cheaper however as strage as it may sound realistic ones are more money. They require more detail work which costs the money and theres alot less people making them meaning the waiting lists are alot longer.

A good place to start might be looking at the fursuit database and find suits you like the look of and see if the maker is listed.

You can that see if that person is still making and how to contact them via google etc
