Title: Hi there!
Post by: Andi_Raccoon on February 18, 2012, 19:52:04
Hello everyone!

It looks like i will be attending ConFuzzled this year (Con fee/hotel is paid, flight is booked).
So i take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I'm Andi Raccoon from Germany. This years CF is my very first furrycon and also the first time to meet other furries in person too.
So if you see somebody running around grinning stupidly and being confused the rest of the time, thats probably me.  ;)

So much from me. Now i'm off, reading around here to clear up some questions i still have.

Hi There Andi,

I continue to be impressed with the number of first time convention goers we seem to attract, and on behalf of everyone working for the con, I just wanted to say thanks for choosing us.  I really hope that you have a good time at your first con, and by all means we will do our best to ensure that you have a great time!

Kind Regards,

Rizzorat

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you all.
ConFuzzled seems to be a really nice and relaxed event, but still big enough to meet many people. I think, it's a good way to start for a newbie.

As for the answers to my questions, i got many things sorted out so far, especially through the one answer... and the remaining details will clear up along the way.

The most important detail left is, where the nearest cash machine is located. But i guess at the airport and the train stations i could find one.
Well, i just wait and see.

Hi Andi, glad to hear you chose our con as your first. There will of course be ATMs at the airport and train stations, but (according to Google Street View, at least) there's also one at a 24 hour Cooperative convenience store/petrol station that's about half a mile (800m)  from the venue, just the other side of the motorway, if you need to get money during the convention.
