all the talk of only using it once or at a con once a year. Just remember you will use it as much as you present yourself with oppertuninties to! If you only go one con a year and dont do anything else you can still use it at home or celebrations. Then theres meets and friends parties, mini cons etc or maybe you decided you enjoyed Cf so much you want to go to EF or AC There are honestly as many things to do in your suit as you can think of even down to as some suiters do occasionally doing charity work.

To answer Akinokaze too, its not really like wearing a hat (unless your suit has a hat to keep it on your head of course) its more like wearing a balaclava that doesnt quite touch your head like an inch away. I know what you mean about the tight feeling around yoru head with hats but really if you wear a hat for a while that feeling goes anyway. Its not so much the effect of having something around you than its the weight on your head but mostly the having your senses effected thats the bit to get over.

Well yes and no, remember if a suits made for you its got a limited customer base for resale as it wont fit everyone and the character wouldnt suit everyone. Plus of course seond hand and used and all that. But they certainly dont devalue like a computer :P even rocks plumit slower than pc prices

Well there has been conventions in the US and Europe for 15 or more years now. In fact although confuzzled has been going only 2 years things like RBW were going 3 years ago and there have been what are close to mini cons run even back in the 1990's here. Only difference is we dont advertise like the americans do (well not back then anyways).

Its more a case of knowing what to look for, as a none fur looking in from youtube I guess you could easily see it as an American only thing but once your in the fandom you cna see how world wide it really is.

Well think I was 23 when I got my fursuit so its the right time! buy NOW!

Most builders wil work with you to make a char sheet if you want, something thats close to yoru character but also suitable to be made into a suit.

transporting isnt as hard as you might imagine, a case bag or otherwise just something to hold it all together and keep it safe. Really depends on the construction of the suit, if its foam then its not that easy to damage anyways. Mesh and other things need a stronger case to help keep the shape. I just have a very big bag with wheels like some uber hold all thing which fits my suit and my clothes for a con. Akino knows me so knows Im not the tallest person around and if I can manage a bag the same size as me accross a country to a con you can manage it too :P

Storing, hmm I guess most people hang them up in a wardrobe like any other clothes. As mines a partial it cant be hung anyway so I have a large protective drum it lives in.

Cleaning well if you download the original CF2008 con video I think part 2 is mostly all about fursuits acting and includes washing. Again really depends what your suits made from, at cons suits are usually cleaned in the bath or shower with mild cleaning agents and left to drip dry. Keep a brush with you to fluff the fur out again.

http://www.maskottchen-germany.de/german/main.htm (Yea sorry its in german but you get the idea its easy to understand)

Atalons stuff ususally is cheaper and he can make it alot quicker than the others but he doesnt do "toony" so much as the others.

But keep looking around cause they are just examples there are many many people all over the world making top quality ones. My only advise would be try and avoid none furry commercial sites selling pre made ones. Simple because these are made for parties and small events they are no where near as good and hard wearing as ones build by furs for fursuiting.

I dont really think theres a certain way to "fit" into the fandom most furs tend to be generall accepting of anyone so you would fit in no matter what.

You dont have to wait for cons to go fursuiting, there are meets and specially arrangement parties and events etc too!

Doesnt matter what the neighbours thing its not their buieness really ;) And as for your friends, we dont all whip the suit out to show everyone its not something you have to make them a part of unless you want to. I only show none fur friends if I want to freak them out when I know its ok really.

Of course 40 isnt too old. In fact going for it might help you feel young. go for it

Musicians Forum / Re: Music at Confuzzled
« on: July 13, 2009, 09:29:27 »
Well actually there were annoucements through email last year saying for any musicians to contact us and I would bring any instruments or amps people wanted (since this is my work) and we had an epic 3 replies one of which pulled out anyway. So I brought 2 amps and an electric and a classical guitar as per discussions. The chance was there for people to ask for things but no one did.
Im not going to offer this year I dont think. People diddnt really seem that interested in asking or in the jam much at all prior to the con happening. It will have to wait and see what my schedual and van space will be like this sorta thing has to come last in van priority.
