Feedback / Re: Nightclub last admittance policy
« on: June 07, 2014, 13:36:57 »
I found security this year to be very over the top with a lot of things especially the admittance and restriction policies. It was intimidating sometimes and maybe they could have worded things better. There is a big difference between. "I'm really sorry, if you leave you cannot go back in as we have an admittance policy, you can see it written here on the door of the nightclub" and "You're not coming back in please step away from the doors"

I was one from the security who was stationed at the last dance, who also found this policy to be a bit odd, but since none of us standing there at the time, didn't get an update on the policy, we felt we had to start enforce it.

If I ever expressed myself in a bad way, like stated, I'm honestly really sorry for this.  I cannot remember saying anything like it, but considering there for a moment ended up being quite a big group of people outside the entrance to the night club, who clearly wasn't happy about the policy, I had to answer a number of them at the same time, which all-in-all made the situation momentarily tense.

As the dance continued, after the set deadline, we got updated to allow people in, which we then did.  We are of course sorry that this have upset previously turned away people, who then saw others entering the night club.  This will, from what I know, not happen again.

Also, the policy stated that no new admittance was to be 15 minutes prior to the end, but with quite a number of people coming and going, it was unfeasible to distinguish between those who've been in before and those who haven't.  Also, who was only out for a cool-down and who was coming back after an hour?  But, as mentioned, this will not happen again.

Once again - if I ever expressed myself in a way which was either intimidating, threatening or in an otherwise not desired way, I deeply apologies for this.  Regardless if I did or not, I will take this feedback to me and further make sure I express myself in a respectful manner.

So, you will all be singing this and recording it at the bb:q right?
I'd say doing it towards the end would make most sense. *nods*

And I'd of course partake, even though I rather sing, than well.

Discussion / Re: Vegetarian Dining Options
« on: May 18, 2014, 22:02:46 »
Quite a number of vegetarians, myself included, choose to eat cheese made with rennet.  I'm aware of the origins etc and it's a concious choice I've made.

But, in this case, I think it'd be possible to ask for the dish without the parmesan, as I'd guess it's added on just before served.

I must say, I'm happy with the menus at the venue. :-)

Would love to see you at CF next year.  :-)

It's a really neat convention, so I must recommend you to attend.  *nods*

Scott is DJing, so there will be pony music, I'm sure :P
Aww, still no night of pony! :(

I'll make a note of this for if I manage to grab a slot next year then, I prescribe plenty of Alex S and a bit of Silvahound ;)

The night of DDP (Dead Dog Party), before I was attacked by the floor, I enjoyed some pony moment with one of the team I was part of, this year.  *wags*  A most enjoyable moment, I must say.

Could consider that.  All dependent on when and such.  :-)

And if there'd be transportation, as my abilities to drive around the place would be a bit limited. :P

Deodorant should be in large capital letters, flashing red, and underlined three times !

It must also be remembered that deodorant is not a substitute for poor hygiene.
This should also be in large capital letters, flashing red, and underlined three times :)

I'd rather underline the Shampoo / Shower Gel / Soap bit.  Deodorant is, if of the stinkier kinds, which sadly most are, not particularly nice.  So, antiperspirants, sure, but perfumed ones... *whimpers*

Off-Topic / Re: Replacement

I really hope it'll sort for you.  :-)  With all the contact attempts, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

This close to the con itself, staff is quite likely rather busy with the preparations.  I'm also quite sure they'll keep updates here and through e-mail, whenever they're able to. :-)

I would recommend you to send an e-mail to registration@confuzzled.org.uk and they'd get the details quicker.  :-)

Meep!

Just out of curiousity;  Is IBAN/BIC payment available?  On http://reg.confuzzled.org.uk/regsys/start.jsp it says it is, but not in the confirmation e-mail.  If it is, I wonder where the IBAN and BIC info is located.

2008 Discussion / Re: Car parking?
« on: January 15, 2008, 17:33:51 »
Well, there's at least one car comming from Sweden. :-)  And we'll be two going in that one.  If it weren't for the fact that we'll be spending some time before and after the con nearby, we'd probably bring more, but alas, that won't be (practically) possible.

But... either we'll be there early enough and get a space or simply poke around and see if we can get a ride there anyway.  Ah well, will find out eventually. :-)

2008 Discussion / Re: What about an IRC channel for Confuzzled?
« on: January 10, 2008, 09:02:58 »
Well, I'm not completely sure, but I'm situated in the unofficially designated channel for EuroFurence on FurNet and that's a quite nice place.  Okay, there are lots of idle time, but around certain moments, there are quite a bit of activity there.

Okay, 144 is a bit fewer than 700+ attendees, but still.. not that large difference.

But then, there's the choice of which network to use.  I don't, personally, intend to go on AnthroChat, since FurNet is enough for me.  No need to be on two virtually parallel networks, just because I can.  Although, I took the freedom of joining #ConFuzzled there in all unofficiality, so please feel free to join, should you have the desire to do so. :-)
