Discussion / Lost Dragon Necklace
« on: June 07, 2015, 23:52:34 »
Did see a lost and found post so I thought I'd just make me own.

I cannot find my necklace and I think I might have accidentally left it in my hotel room. Do I contact the Hilton or will CFz staff be able to help ( e.g. the hotel alerts them)?

It's a small necklace with a black string. The pendant is a little silver dragon wrapped around a blue stone ( Turquoise).

I've emptied all my bags and I can't find it. I think I might have left it on the dresser in my room.

Dealers Den & Art Auction / Table Cloths and Wifi?
« on: May 03, 2015, 11:13:09 »
Last time, the den tables had nice table cloths on them - will they be there again this time? It'll save me packing space.

Also, will we get the same wifi deal again?

Hey video editors; why not stick some fursuit head censor-bars on the headless guys? xD

Feedback / Dealers Den
« on: June 05, 2013, 10:44:26 »
Apologies if this was discussed at the Feedback Session but I couldn't make it due to feeling a bit con-cruddy.

Only 2 days dealing felt rather short. Yes, I know money is finite and the 2nd day was slower ( for me anyway) but it would be nice to have an extra day so you could tweak your prices/commissions to suit what was popular.

It was my first time in a den and I had bought way too many prints to sell; no one was interested or they seemed scared to open up the folder I had ._.; . If I had had an extra day I would have moved them aside and opened up more on the day sketches.

Even if it were just a half day ( say, 10 - 1 ) then people would be maybe a little more anxious about buying things before they missed out.

Also, ponies. Those pesky ponies.

I had bought a doll in for my silent auction of a custom painted mlp. When asked, the problem seemed to be that I hadn't made the doll ( it was a vintage fake, non Hasbro). Yet I saw people selling painted boxes and incense burners, which I'm sure they didn't make.

There was another thing, pony related, that irked me. Another seller had licensed toys for sale. When I asked, they had said they'd shown con staff the invoices for them. That's fair enough but it felt weird that most people sold hand crafted things, yet there were two stalls selling new and second hand products you could get from a normal shop.

Feedback / Re: 2013 Shirt design

I've never had anyone ask about what's on my shirt. That's kinda weird.

I explained it to my, rather backwards, work as a " Fancy dress/ Mascot ( like the football ones)/ Scifi con". It worked :D.

And isn't a con shirt meant to be a souvenir of the con? Something to remember the con by and maybe for others to recognize when you go to other events.

Like others said, if you want a shirt to wear everyday with no questions asked ( Do the fashion police take you in for an interview? xD) go head to Primark and pic up an animal print shirt for £3.

I didn't take my head off, though I almost did when I heard a buzzing inside it ( D:) it turned out to just be my badge running against my fleece though.

Like Mangusu said; some people don't have rooms or where at other hotels. They can't get anywhere to change! I had this problem last year when I was attending only. I had to get half dressed in the toilets and walk to the fursuit lounge with Khaazbaars feet, legs and tail on, holding the rest of the suit.

If you find headless suits in your photos, either change your angle to get them out of frame, or ask them politely too move. Unless you're taking film, you'd only be moving them for a minute and they'd probably be ok with that. A lot of the people I saw go headless were outside and they kept to the benches and out of the way.

if you don't like it, nobody's making you buy it.

This.

I paid extra for the plus because I was expecting something in the same vein as the other shirts. I was really excited to have maybe a Brok Knight or him fending a dragon from his cookies...

Maybe in future, we should get a preview of the shirt so people will know whether they'll like it or not.

Feedback / Re: The food
« on: June 04, 2013, 18:46:07 »
I have a little irk regarding food...

Fruit!

Or the lack off. This is probably more to do with the hotel, but a selection of fruit at the bar would have been nice. I didn't want to spend £15 for BBQ or pay for the buffet when I was having an iffy stomach anyway. The snack bar only offered beans ( too many beans!) and the soup in the way of vegetables.

I asked at the bar when my stomach was feeling particularly scurvy-licious and the lady was helpful and grabbed some apples from the kitchen. A bowl of fresh fruit, apples, bananas, oranges etc would have been nice and far more appealing that beans beans beans...

Thing is, if you want a shirt to wear outside "any day with no hassle", just buy a normal shirt or even one with an animal print on it. If you go to a con, you want a con shirt. Something that tells you about the con and the theme. I paid for Plus because I wanted a furry themed shirt, because I lack any thing like that. I was kinda disappointed, and it's not something I want to wear.

And yeah, the hotel staff shirts were a lot better! Does anyone know if these are available to buy? I think they were far superior and a better colour.

I have a little thing to say about the shirts and saw no one else making a thread so I thought I'd start.

I found this years design kinda, meh. The art is ok, if a little rushed looked and jarring. It took me a bit to figure out it was a badger walking through trees. But it looks like any other wildlife tee that you could get from a Zoo or something.

All the previous year's shirts told you the theme of the con and were furry. '11 had 1920s Furs, '12 had a film star Brok.

I was hoping for a nice distinctly furry shirt for my extra money paid. Maybe Brok as a knight, or Heraldric Beast.

I had to go and buy myself a 2011 shirt to make up for it.

Same as above. If you're having trouble and you're a good walk from the Lounge or your with friends and want to talk, why not take it off?

If it were in the parade ( and a non-emergency) then I'd agree but otherwise, let them be.

Room & Transport Sharing / Re: Looking for a girl to room mate with
« on: November 20, 2012, 19:06:14 »
Bump!

The person I was sharing with found another room and the backup person has bought a single.

Still looking for a girl to bunk with. I really really cannot sleep with a guy in the share, because I'm a little weary of guys and I need to get changed/chill out in suit in there.

Hmm, I can't either as Furaffinity's search function is borked.

But the official photo is something like this https://secure.flickr.com/photos/azulikeit/7323809912/in/set-72157630018355448 but wider and with more of the rotundra in, it's a panaramic shot.

Looking at this photo ( no offence to the photographer) the building itself is the focus. The shadows make the furs at the bottom harder to see, each fur's 'spot' is only a thumb big, where as the huge balcony edges take up a lot of the area. Imagine this but ten-fold, because of the amount of furs and area to shoot.
