Question on what I can sell..

Hi guys! So, I got into How to Train Your Dragon recently and was thinking about making some laminated keychains, bookmarks etc of that movie. I would draw the art, but of course, I do not own the character.

I was wondering what the policy is on selling what is considered 'fanart'?

Fan Art is a tricky subject. Even though the best intention is there for it to be fan-art, as you're selling it for money, it's a different area really. I don't think anyone could stop you giving items away, but charging for them is different.

The official line is:
"Similarly, no items depicting copyrighted characters or trademarks may be sold unless the seller can provide written permission, from the copyright holder, to the convention staff during the convention."
