i told him that if he wants to come, i'll pay for him but he'll have to find a room. and that sounds pretty stupid now....... probably shouldn't have told him that. but it's whatever. hopefully he'll say no. but that's all i wanted to see.
Hi Zangehe,
Just to let you know in regards to this question, residential registration is now closed. If he does opt to come, he would only be able to come as attending only. It is now to late to apply for a room. Just as a poliete reminder, allowing him to then stay with you in your room would be considered 'Ghosting', and if it is brought to the convention staffs attention that this is happening, you may be ejected from the convention and face a potential ban.
Formalities out of the way, if your brother is genuinely interested in the event, and seeing what furry has to offer, I do not see any harm in suggesting he comes along. It really is a question of how comfortable you feel. However, that said, if he is 18 and over, and an adult, it really is his own decision.
I actually have several friends whom have sibblings in the fandom and it actually brings quite a harmonous situation for them because they do not have to hide from reach other, and actually improves their socialising and bond. It might well be worth talking to your brother on the topic sometime, see what he knows, where his interests are.
I hope that this information is useful for you. Best of luck with your dealings.
Kind Regards,
Rizzo
