[2008] Fuel strikes

as you may or may not yet be aware,the fuel strikes are set to happen again for 4 days over next weekend,my advice to all drivers,Fill up once you get to Manchester,that way,if pumps run dry,you can at least get back home with minimal fuss.

Having lived in Manchester, I'd say the chance of that city running dry because of Shell garages not being supplied is slim to none. A better reason to fill up on Friday is that by Monday it'll be 5p more expensive everywhere.

But yes, the overall idea is sound  :D

According to the news, the strike on the weekend of the con has been called off. The union and the haulage companies have struck a deal apparently. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7460146.stm for more info
